Resources for Sellers in Stormy Weather

There have been multiple storms in the southern United States recently that have left destruction and devastation in their paths. Many Bonanza sellers have been impacted by these storms, so first and foremost we'd like to extend our condolences to those struggling throughout this time. Our thoughts are with you and we are hoping for safety for you and your loved ones.

We'd also like to offer some resources for sellers who understandably might not be able to keep up with their booths for the time being. There are many options available for you:

Place your booth on vacation.

If you'd like your booth to be temporarily offline, Bonanza offers a "Vacation mode" feature that will automatically set all listings to "Reserved" status while you are unavailable to fulfill orders. Visit your Booth settings from the Selling dropdown in the upper lefthand corner of any page and set "Booth currently on vacation" to "Yes." You can leave an optional note to buyers who visit your booth while it is on vacation mode. Be sure to save your changes. All items will be set to "Reserved" status.

Place a hold on specific item listings.

When viewing a listing while logged into your seller account, you will see a link to "Reserve item" just under the listing title in the top-right corner of the page. Click the link to set that individual item to "Reserved" status. You can also visit the Batch Editor and select the items you wish to reserve. Set the status to "Reserved" using the "Set Status" dropdown in the toolbox at the top of the page and apply your changes.

Add a notice to your shipping information.

If you'd like to stay open but will be delayed in sending out items, you can update your shipping information on the Shipping & Returns page of your Booth Settings. You can also add a notice to the beginning of each item listing by visiting the "Text Editing" section of the Batch Editor. Adding a note about the delay can help you keep your busines running during recovery and keep buyer expectations in check.

Contact Support

We are hoping for a quick recovery to all those affected by these horrible storms. If you are in need of assistance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact [email protected] or visit the Help Center.

We came through Hurricane Harvey in Houston much more fortunate than we expected and very thankful. I also have a buyer in Florida who placed an order on hold until after Irma was over. They notified me today that they have mail again and okay to ship. So thankful for all of the support and that more lives were not lost.

Thanking everyone for your Prayers!! The Prayers’s of the righteous availeth Much!! We made it! We are Alive! The State of Florida had many many Prayer Warriors, and GOD heard YOUR Prayers!!

We are in Florida, Pasco County… UGH! Just got home, checked the house yesterday and was so so thankful to find it in one piece. No flooding. No broken windows…. GOD IS GOOD!!

Looking a CAT 5 in the eyes is a sobering thought. So thankful for the little things, that we often take for granted

On August 28, I wrote the below. Although these words are not uttered of myself, I did not quite understand it, and went on to tell some of my friends that I did not know what it was, only that it was BIG and would bring UNITY. The UNITY has began, neighbour helping neighbour, and I’m sure many, like myself, no longer will take even the smallest things for granted.

In the face of geological disasters, human beings seem to be relatively small, but as long as we human unity can still overcome and overcome, bless all mankind, we are a family. Thank you!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by the devastation by the hurricanes in the past few weeks. Although I am fortunate to live in an area that was not affected, there are many others that are. As we can see, people are coming together to help as many people as possible. That is what we do…

Sending love and healing energy to all affected by these tumultuous storms and Hoping for a gentle recovery with no more lightning bolts, raging winds & flooding waters. At this moment in time we appear to be getting the message, Mother Nature, God & the Universe. And while we are uniting with and loving each other unconditionally and letting go of our hate and fear of each other’s differences, hopefully we will continue to do do better as the caretakers of each other and our beautiful but oh, so wounded planet earth.

I have relatives in Florida and a friend in Texas. Thankfully all are safe. My sister in FL said the eye was just about over her. She’s a tough one but she said she was scared…that it felt like the structure of her home was literally moving and she does have a strong house to begin with. Lived in Florida myself and never felt like the structure was moving, it would have scared me, too.

I feel for those that were less fortunate, glad to hear neighbors are helping neighbors and coming together.

What was the point of posting this 2 days after the storm when the entire state of Florida was already without Power and Internet access?

BonanzaGrace says in response: 09/19/17 at 16:13:24

Hi BackYardDogAgility! Thanks for your message. Our first priority is everyone’s safety, and we send well wishes to those who are without power or internet. The intent behind sharing this announcement was to provide resources to any sellers that do have internet or power but might have been displaced, evacuated, or are otherwise unable to ship physical items from their booths.

EVER since “Harvey” all people who have been in the wake of anywhere from light to heavy destruction, or anyone who’s been misplaced, or anyone who’s found themselves very unfortunate and those who have lost people to death from these massive hurricanes/storms…I’ve been keeping ALL these people in prayers. Please contribute monies to charities that WILL help them, Hubby and I did, and did so more than once. Challenging others to meet our $100.00 total of donations, if you can, if not please donate at least $10.00. . . God BE with Each of You! Dee
