I'm new to bonanza and i don't understand why some sellers have multiple booths. how does that help??
I also did not know about the final value being charged on shipping when you use the Free shipping option on your listings and when the shipping is over $10.00. I have alot of stoneware dishes that shipping will be over $10.00 if I sell them in sets or high quantities. I came to Bonanza because ebay was charging fees on everything. I am very disapointed to learn that Bonanza has ways of doing the same thing.

Thank you for the reply and info. I will have to rethink the sizes of my listings.

Sellers have multiple booths to either separate the ""kind" of items they are selling or they do so to keep the number of items at a manageable level in each booth.

If you have free shipping on your items, you will pay Bonanza fees on the entire sales amount (because Bonanza has no way of knowing what the actual shipping charges are) with no credit for shipping charges you incur. However, if you charge a shipping fee, the first $10 in shipping charges is NOT used when calculating your Bonanza selling fee.

Also, having similar items in a booth makes the chance more likely that shipping prices will resemble one another, which could mean that setting up combined shipping might be easier to manage from booth to booth.

You are welcome.

I also meant to say that having items that are really different from one another in the same booth makes it easier to brand the booth. Here’s a link on [URL removed] [URL removed]

I know we all usually sell second hand items and the actual product is not our very own product but when you look at the whole picture is branding…For example, a booth that carries only items for females is an example of how one would want to make that a part of their “brand” or someone who….

sells only toys or home decor, etc. I think this makes branding easier. For someone who sells a variety of things in their booth that have no similarity this is where branding becomes more difficult…although it can be done….I have seen some people on Bonanza with a variety in their booth that…

have an excellent knack for branding. Not me, I have to struggle with it.

In my second comment where I [URL removed] “I also meant to say that having items that are really different from one another in the same booth makes it easier to brand the booth.” I meant for it to say “having items that are really different can make it harder.”

I wish I could edit a comment I write here on Bonanza. This part is ridiculous.

Lowering the advertising level also lowers the chances of a sale.

Not if you promote yourself. Self-marketing and adverting are very important. If you depend upon a venue to do it all, then maybe yes.

The fees are rather high…

you control the amount of your fees….if it is too high for you..lower your advertising level

PaperNirvana says: July 24, 2017

The fees don’t see high to me, when I can choose what advertising level I want to use, and switch between them at will. :)

At least you get the first $10.00 of the shipping without fees.

Yes, this is a nice benefit. Thank you Bonanza!

I have several booths because I am a crafter and artist who uses a variety of media and creative techniques to create my decorative, functional and wearable handmades. I enjoy selling retro and vintage costume jewelry.

I also design graphics, digitals, printables and provide creative services. In addition, I am a writer and desktop publisher.

It’s just a wonderful benefit that Bonanza allows us to have multiple booths, AND connect them into one admin dashboard. Having multiple shops makes it a lot easier for customers to find what they want, and they are not so overwhelmed.

Good luck to you!
