London plane

Latin name: Platanus acerifolia

London plane tree was created in the 17th century from a cross between two types of plane trees.
This hardy, deciduous tree grows up to 30 m (98 ft) high, and develops a broad crown.
Their gray-brown bark flakes off in irregular plates every year.
Since London plane tree shows a rather high resistance to air pollutants, it is quite suitable as a city tree.
There are several areas of application in folk medicine.
