This safety razor (LP1822L) is good quality. Be aware that as with any metal product with moving parts it most be oiled at first use and maybe monthly or so there after.
The blades are sharp but not that sharp, I can obtain maybe 5 shaves from one double sided blade. Better blades are Wilkinson Sword, Shick, Personna, etc.. US blades from the 60's and 70's are still available and very sharp!
Another tip, when shaving use lots of hot water as it seems to keep the blade sharper than cold water. Note that I washed my beard with bar soap to get rid of the oils that clog razors, rinsed and soaked my beard in a hot/wet towel just prior to lathering up.
Remember to rinse the razor every stroke or three to keep it clean and clear. Every time you change blades wipe down the razor to remove residues, in the military a few folks used their toothbrush and toothpaste to polish their razors (could have been just a military thing) and it worked well.
Last one I promise, I use Williams 'Lectric Shave Lotion after I rinse my face, smells great and the light oil keeps the skin from trying out too quickly.
