Introducing Booth Panels
Update: Since me and Mark's booth panels admittedly left something to be desired, here are but a few real examples of people using their booth panels for greater sales and fun. More than 100 booths setup panels just today, this is going to be great to watch evolve!

We have unveiled yet another groovy feature for our "Plus" and "Premiere" subscribers this evening -- the ability to customize what shows up in your booth between the chat window and your items. Until this point, that space has been reserved for showing your location, your booth discount, your Bonanza, and your pickup times.
But now, in addition to showing those, you can also show a personalized message to your buyers and/or a picture that you upload. It's probably easier to show this than explain it, so just take a look at my booth and Mark's booth to see some absurd examples of how the new functionality could be used.
To customize your own booth panels, go to My Bonanzle -> Update Appearance (under "My booth") -> Set booth panels. There you'll be taken to a screen with instructions on how to add or modify your panels.
Since this feature is still brand spankin' new, there will probably be some usability issues with it initially. Amongst the known issues with it, it doesn't yet support reordering of the panels or uploading images if you're using Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (we hope to get that fixed soon, but Internet Explorer is notorious for making complicated tasks difficult). Also, in the long run we'd like to consider allowing booth panels to span the entire width of the page, but currently the rightmost area of the page is still used when a Bonanza happens, so we are limiting the booth panels to the area above the items (not above the cart).

Here’s another reason why I love Bonanzle! You boyz are the best, rolling out cool features like this! This is the perfect place for me to display my 5 top selling items!
This is a really neat new feature, and I couldn’t resist trying it out. I removed the three panels that mean nothing to me. For now, I left the map to my location. I added text about combined shipping. I also added an image. I will tweak it in the coming days. I like it.
I’ll mention it again in the comments here, for you blog skimmers: if you’re running Internet Explorer 6 or 7, image uploading will currently not working on booth panels. I’m hoping to get that resolved in the next few days.

Fantastic new feature – I can’t wait to have a few minutes to play with this. Been wishing for a while that the space there could be used for informational posts that are readily visible as soon as someone enters the booth. Gonna be fun watching what all these creative folks come up with around here…

This right here could cause me to finally give a membership a try. I like what thebgs did with their booth. I can think of a lot of useful info I can now give booth visitors that I want them to see right away.
wish I could afford the membership.. eventually

Oh totally cool! I plopped up a full picture of the Paint horse in my banner.. couldn’t resist.
Off to see what else I can do with it. Images upload fine using IE8 though. Done tried it..
Now we can make a two panel banner to match our Seller’s pick list with catchy Seller pick titles…

I wonder how many times a day Bonanzlers are collectively saying “we love this place,” or “we love the boyz?” This is such a sweet addition to our shops! Looks like a small thing but is really a BIG thing!

Okay, you finally got me to give the $10 membership a shot. And after setting up the booth panels I ended up redesigning my banner, too, since I used an image from that in my panels and didn’t want to double up.
So you caused me to do a bunch of work I didn’t plan on.
But it’s really cool so far. The booth panel thing finally convinced me to give a membership a shot, but if I see an increase in hits/sales like the promo page says then I might just be sold on a yearly one.
I will be watching this month with great interest…
