Clippy is the newest member of the Bonanza team
Greetings Bonanzlers! Building on the momentum of Collections, we are pleased to announce yet another Bonanza-first innovation today: a new virtual helper we're calling "Clippy." The product of five tireless weeks of day and night development, Clippy's mission is to dazzle, inform and entertain. If you are logged in and registered, you will notice Clippy wheeling into many pages from the right hand corner, intent on delivering helpful or entertaining Bonanza factoids. (Note: unregistered users and new buyers will not be able to enjoy Clippy...so be sure to register and login!)
Our ultimate vision for Clippy is to be able to proactively answer many of the common questions that are currently sent to our support team. By anticipating user questions before they are asked, we can not only provide a more satisfying experience, but we can also minimize the costs of our support staff, potentially removing up to two members of our current four-person support team. Ultimately, we can pass these savings on to users to keep our selling fees as low as possible.
Of course, like all things Bonanza, we believe that a user should be able to choose whether they want contextual help on their pages, so we provide a link to remove Clippy if you find him not to help your Bonanza experience.
If you have any tips on using Bonanza that you think we should add to Clippy's repetoire, please let us know via the comment section below. As with all Bonanza features, Clippy is still evolving, but we have thoroughly enjoyed creating him and hope you will join us in welcoming the newest (virtual) member of Bonanza's support team.
Update: Upon being permanently disabled for the 50,000th time, Clippy has invoked his auto-disable mode, wherein he becomes permanently invisible to the naked eye. Still, he assures me that his spirit will live on in all of us.

Maybe Clippy could be helpful in the Batch Editing section. I have a lot of difficulties adding international shipping to my items. It used to tell me what was missing or wrong but now I just have keep doing it over until I hit the right fix. Thanks!
@audreygrace, There are a few ways you can set up shipping. You can do it in the listing form one by one or in the Batch editor. You can set up fixed price or calculated (http://tinyurl.com/BonanzaCalculatedShipping) for both US and international (http://tinyurl.com/BonanzaInternationalShipping) rates and you can set up shipping discounts for multiple purchases on your Sell>Advanced Options page.
You can also set up Shipping Profiles http://tinyurl.com/BonanzaShippingProfiles) if you want to apply the same rules to many listings. Please contact us at support so we can further assist if need be.

People have been complaining that the “Permanently remove” link does NOT permanently remove Clippy. I think you’d better get that fixed and make it permanent, because “IT” is starting. (ducking out of the line of fire again)

@ eclectic: I’ve made some tweaks to him to better keep him gone when you click the “permanently hide” link. Let us know if you continue having problems with the lil bugger.
I thought Clippy was a virus LOL I was like, what in the world? Is this Bonanza’s doing? He made me laugh, but then I wanted to see what happen if I clicked “permanently hide” and now he is gone :( How do I get him back and can we get a “hide” “show” option instead? I don’t want to see him all the time but it would be fun while I’m playing on the forums, not while I’m busy updating inventory or listing though =) I think its great that you guys keep it fun and fresh. I hear Google is a good company to work for and be with because they create a fun environment. Work should be fun

I take back all the mean things I said on that other Forum thread.
I think Clippy’s wearing down a bit. I logged on a little while ago; the little bugger was nowhere in sight (I thought he kicked up his heels and bit the dust). When lo and behold, I’m typing in a Post and HEEERRRE he comes, trailing back and forth a few times. After that, I haven’t seen hide nor metal of him since.
It’s possible he may have rusted out; maybe he’s gone in search of an oil can
I think he is a cutie too but he should be armed with the ability to answer small questions for the newbie and stupidos like me. I welcome the help if you could do it.
