Here is where sellers can list any catch-all policies about their booth. If any of this information is essential to the buying process, the seller will also mention that within their item description -- so don't sweat it if you don't make a habit of looking at the details for every booth!

Welcome to Starfisher’s Stars, thank you for visiting. I’m Jan. I am proud to have 100% positive feedback both on my imported feedback and on Bonanza. As you can see by the number of badges under “My Profile”, I am an active member of the community at Bonanza.

Most of the items in my booth belonged to my parents and there are jewelry pieces I no longer wear from my younger days. You will find a variety of items in the booth and I am always adding new treasures. Most of my items are vintage and should be expected to have normal age wear (like you and me, which only adds to our charm). I have to use my best judgement on age. I strive to be as accurate as possible, but I may be wrong from time to time. There is a saying that best describes vintage items; “if you like new, vintage is not for you!” Please keep in mind that I am not an expert on every item presented. My descriptions are as I see them and the photos are true to the item you are looking at. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! When the terms “silver” or “gold” are used, this indicates metal color only. Precious metals will be indicated as such in the listing and in the “materials” section.

My goal is your satisfaction & your confidence in shopping at Starfisher’s Stars, as well as in my standard of quality merchandise and customer care.

P.S. My favorite Starfish prop in the pictures is not included! If a quarter is used in a photo or photos, it is there for size reference only and is not part of the auction. A U.S.A. 25 cent quarter measures 15/16 inch, almost one-inch diameter.

Shipping policy

The Post Office made changes to the shipping times for the Ground Advantage Packages, which replaced the 1st Class Packages and there may be a longer delivery time. The Ground Advantage includes tracking and insurance up to $100.00. Thank you for your understanding if the package is delayed after I take it to the Post Office.

I ship the same or next available day for all items and take the packages to the Post Office personally. I let you know when the item is shipped and send you the Tracking/Confirmation Delivery Number. Tracking is included in the shipping price on all items. Some items may also be insured, depending on the item being shipped and the value of that item.

I do not print out commercial postage so the shipping costs will reflect the new rates charged by the Post Office. I have had to raise my flat rate shipping costs to cover this increase and prices will start at $5.85 for all Ground Advantage packages. I am sorry for this increase, but I have no control over the USPS rates. If an item is sent by Priority Mail it will be priced based on the weight of the item and an average of zones.

I only ship to the United States, it’s not that I wouldn’t like to ship outside the states, but in the past I have run into problems so I no longer ship internationally. Items will be sent by USPS Ground Advantage Mail or Priority Mail, depending on the item and the best shipping cost. If you choose to have an item sent by a more expensive shipping method than I have selected you have the option of upgrading for the additional service. The Buyer pays for shipping unless posted otherwise.

Sales tax is not separately calculated and collected with items ordered from my booth. Items ordered may be subject to tax in certain states to which the order is shipped. If an item is subject to sales tax, in accordance with state laws, the tax is generally calculated by PayPal for the total selling price of each individual item, including shipping charges and then sent to Bonanza.com. The tax amounts will be calculated at the time your order is processed and will appear in your order confirmation notification. Bonanza collects and remits sales tax on behalf of sellers for all transactions where the buyer is located in participating states.

If you live in one of the participating states, sales tax will automatically be added to your order at checkout by PayPal. This is not stated in the listing of the item itself, just here in the shipping policy.

I often ship Green using recycled boxes and packaging materials.

Return policy

I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I pack all items carefully. Jewelry is packaged in a box, not an envelope, I want the item to arrive safely. Paper items, brochures, etc. are packaged between cardboard in a large envelope.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact me by phone or email within 4 days to initiate a return or to give me the opportunity to rectify the situation. Buyer is to pay return shipping costs and I will refund promptly the cost of the item, providing the item is in the condition it was shipped. If the fault is mine and the item is not as described in my write up and with my photos, I will refund in full the purchase price and pay for the shipping.

The item must be returned via the original carrier (unless agreed otherwise in writing), in its original packaging, and must be received in the same condition as when it was shipped to you. After I verify the returned item is as originally sent, I will issue a full refund within 2 days. If an item is damaged during the shipping it will be handled on an individual basis (I haven’t had one damaged yet). If an insurance claim must be filed, buyer agrees to deliver necessary documents required by the insurance carrier in order to process the claim.

Miscellaneous details

I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant and satisfactory transaction. It is my goal to provide excellent Value, Service, and Communication. I respond daily to all purchases and requests and quickly answer questions you may have. I try to provide a complete and accurate description of the item and clear pictures to the best of my knowledge.

Please look carefully at the photos as they are also part of the description. I try to include photos in a range of angles and close-ups. Be sure to take note of actual measurements; as items pictured are often times enlarged to show detail for your benefit. Feel free to ask any questions. Remember that close up photography tends to magnify and exaggerate any small flaw and/or light reflection and may show blemishes typically unseen by the eye, so please keep that in mind when looking at the pictures. Most items are placed by a coin or a soda can so you can see the actual size.

Most of the things that I have listed are vintage, which means previously loved, old and/or used. They had a long and eventful life before coming to me or to you. Please don’t expect items to be like new! I am not an expert, but I always describe items as accurately as possible including any obvious imperfections that I can see. .
