I think this may be some kind of teapot because of the handle, it has a fliptop type lid and it seems to be made of copper.

Looks a lot like some Turkish coffee pots I have seen around. They usually have a wooden handle so it won’t be too hot to touch while pouring and the design on yours is spectacular. Not an expert by any means but I love copper and have looked at tons of it. Does it have any marks?

Turkish Coffee Pot, definitely.
Coffee goes in there and stays there on the bottom.

these are used all over the Middle East.
Have seen them used in the souks and bazaars in Cairo and Tel Aviv.
Have been offered very strong coffee (flavored with cardamom)from them…
Humm…have to go add cardamom to my coffee now!
