Question for you glass & china people

I think I have the right category here, at least I hope so. Is there anyone that can help me with a little background on Hallcraft Shape by Eva Zeisel please? I’m familiar with a lot of china but not this one. Thanks so much!

Here are some pictures of the gravy boat & ladle. (I finally got my camera battery charged). Thanks again for the help!

Name sounds German or Austrian.
Can you provide a picture?

Wow, this is gorgeous – Hungarian/Austrian, so, I was not that far off.
It looks almost Scandinavian, sleek and elegant.
It really should bring some bucks.
And yes, offer it in pieces, but telling that you have an entire set.

Sets of 12 are commong in Europe!!
6 or 12 … not like [URL removed] 4 or 8

Eva Zeisal was born in Hungary and her items are considered mid century modern and are very collectible.

I have sold a number of these pieces and have done well with them.

Hallcraft is a line of dinnerware by the Hall China Co. Many patterns in the Hallcraft line…

Eva Zeisel is still alive, 106 yrs. old!

Thats the gravy boat (just sold one not too long ago)
The pattern name is Fantasy, 1952 – 1957

OK, NOW I’M JEALOUS!!!!
Where did you get all the pieces, you lucky duck!?

ALSO…don;t price your items from Replacements prices, they are over inflated (they have to make a profit, too)…your best bet on prices (IMO) are to check current and completeds on Ebay to see what the pieces are selling for. SEE…Ebay is good for something! LOL

Incredibly cool pattern! I wish you much luck in your sale of it.

Yes, it’s hungarian and actually originated out of Debrecen which are still quite available within that bordering area.

Good luck on your listing(s).

Thank you. I’m waiting for my camera battery to charge up and when it is will post a picture. I forgot to plug it in last night!

By the way I forgot to add, I have almost a complete 12 place setting of this pattern. There looks to be 12 dinner plates, 12 bread plates, 11 or 12 salad/soup bowls, I think there is 10 cups with saucers and there is also a large serving platter and serving bowl and other pieces in the boxes. I haven’t finished going through them yet. I have to have hubby move the boxes where I can access them a bit easier as my back is not liking the bending to get into them. (I broke my back so I need them on an elevated level).

NO WAY! I just looked at replacements and they want $175 for the butter dish! You’ve got to be kidding me!

You have one fantastic set to sell!!!! Congrats!

That is a gorgeous gravy boat. I am sure you will have no problem selling the whole set.

I personally would sell in pieces. Someone may only need 1 or 2 pieces rather then the whole set. You also tend to make more money when selling separately. Money is good.

I agree with hodgepodgelodge. I use replacements.com to identify my pieces and usually charge 40% of their price or 50% it it’s really nice. I have had a couuple of items on Ebay bid up to their price, but they were very rare. Good luck!
