My mother in law recently passed away and left us some Ron Lee Clown figurines from the early 80’s and I can’t find any info on them and don’t know where I can go to try to identify them. One is quite large and is just a big clown head smiling and the other is a clown riding a pogo pony (stick with a pony head) and the clown is shooting a gun in the air. I would appreciate any help. My mother in law collected clowns and now weve got them all including Red Skelton paintings, lithos, figurines by all kinds of people and were really not into clowns and so I’m trying to start identifying the stuff and need a little help. If anyone knows where I can go I would be so grateful. Having clowns looking at me from every direction is starting to freak me out a little. LOL. Kathy

Try www.replacements.com as I found some items listed there by that name maker and they were clowns.

Well the obvious starting point would be www.ronlee.com.

Of course checking that “other bay” site for completed listing would give you a guideline as to the popularity or rarity. I usually only take it as a guide because sometimes buyers there get a fantastic deal on something that is rare or if someone really wants a certain item they will pay a premium price.
Between the Ron Lee site and catalogue and actual sales, you should at least get a feel for the value.

I also found this site which is a forum for clown collectibles. There seem to be some knowledgeable people on the site.

Thanks for your answers, all of which I have tried to no avail. Ron Lee has so many things he’s created it’s almost impossible to find the older stuff that doesn’t seem to be as popular as the newer disney character figurines. Thanks again for the answers, I’ll keep looking.
