Been here too long not to sell

I confess, I work the EB site more than this site. But I would like to get more active and see if I can’t generate some sales from Bonanza. However, I’m not a social media hog. I don’t have tw and I don’t have FB; since I work I don’t have time to cling to my phone and computer for all the activity. In the past year, my space on Bonanza has decrease 50% bec. most of my sales come from EB or AMZ.
At one time I did the cross-promo with BNZ and EB but found it too expensive, the fees cut into my asking price.
The prices for my items (mainly new items) have not changed and IMO they are competitive. Take a look and report back, thanks.
What else can I do to get sales up on Bonanza?

Your items are nice but you need more words in the titles. I’ve found you have to rely on being more Google compliant here to get your items picked up on the different feeds. I try to use every space, no comma’s or parentheses and describe the item in the title, if I have space left over. I did see you have a lot of free shipping, someone here said that Bonanza search will not show your item higher than those who charge shipping. They said even a real low shipping amount moved the item higher on lowest price. I haven’t tried it yet, but I plan on checking it out when I get a chance. Good luck here, Dawn

There is no magic formula, unfortunately. It’s all about promotion. You have to get on social media. You can use a program, like hootsuite, to schedule your promotions. You can set aside about 2 hours on a Sunday night and set up all your promotions for the week. You have to invest that time if you want to try to gain some sales, IMHO. Good luck.

I also don’t do social media, but I do realize the importance of it. So I hired jds gift shack to promote my items. I used a couple others as well.

The more items you have up in your booth also helps.

It takes some effort but the sales will come.

Make your booth as nice to be in as possible and that includes your booth banner and avatar – Go to other people’s booths and see that they actually have a NAME for their booth. Consider CHANGING your banner – Seasonally, it’s like ‘’eye candy’’ for customers and it lets potential customers know you’re around a lot and you’ve made your booth as attractive as possible. Also showing your booth’s name in your Banner and perhaps in your Avatar helps you to BRAND yourself as a seller.
It’s MOST important to promote your own wares, that is, IMHO, TOP priority! Go around your home and see if there’s not MORE you can list, the more you list, the more variety you’ll have – and that too might help you get seen.
May I Kindly suggest, and this is only a suggestion, dearest seller, that under your PROFILE, you add some [URL removed]
“Customer Service is My Top Priority!” or “Although I’m the quiet and studious type, I’m more than willing to communicate with my buyers and fellow sellers, simply email me with any question about any item you’ll find in my booth – and I’ll Happily Respond ASAP!”
You’ll get kicked OUT of Google if you have the SAME item in 2 different places, most peeps are not aware of that.
(it’s more detailed than that, but that’s the gist of it)

Not as many people know about Bonanza as they do other selling sites. . .so it might take awhile longer to park here, keep listing, and be patient for those sales to come and while waiting do some promoting such as on Pinterest, in Twitter, within Facebook, etc.

I wish you ALL the Very Best, if You want me to do ’’something’’ to your Avatar or Banner, write me, I’m more than willing to help you out, as long as it’s not too elaborate, at no charge – since I do FREE banners for ANY Bonz seller, and I’m retired from selling in Bonanza/onlline!
Blessings!

It is harder and does take loads more time….one thing I always ask those who say they do better at other sites…

First, think like the buyer and as the buyer you will be looking for something…what do you do

1) Go to ebay/Amazon and look…and

When you find it do you buy it???

This is pretty much what most people do, but if you do not find it or do not like the prices, then

What do you do…

2) Search the internet and then go through organic search results or go straight to Google shopping or some other shopping site…
…and then if you find the item, do you buy it…????

#2 is where buyers from bonanza are going to come from…(the ones who do not find what they were looking for at the big sites and the ones who use google shopping for their searches)…

So if they find your item at ebay/amazon, why would they go and look at you listings on bonanza or anywhere else for that matter…they are never going to make it to step 2…

Maybe one day bonz will be a destination site, but right now it is not…even though I too keep hoping
