Bonz employees, i have a quesiton

I used to hang out at another venue, on the forms, just for entertainment. I operated a chit chat kind of thread. I want to do the same here but there doesn’t seem to be section that isn’t about business here. May I create a “just come and hang out and talk” thread under Games? Or would that be offending the rules?

Okay, I think I now realize that can’t happen as I see once a post has been responded to, it’s considered closed. How very unusual.

I think a chat forum would be a nice change of pace here, I’ll join in.

Just a stupid joke about being a 10 per my reputation but it’s already irrelevant.

i’m not a bonanza employee, but look again at the fun and games thread, they go on and on. I dont see why you can’t start one, but put it in the fun and games section

No, it’s not closed. Neither here (that’s why we can still write answers) nor on the ‘games’ forum, where there are threads with thousands responses and You can still add Your comment, e.g. [URL removed] , etc.

BTW, only because You’ve marked above Your answer as the “best answer=solution”, doesn’t mean that this topic is closed…

A few years back, Bonanza really cracked down on threads. The threads used to be free flowing meaning folks could post however many posts they wanted and say as many words as they wanted, could also delete their posts and go back and edit anything they wrote, too.

I could understand them having to crack down. I wish it would not have got quite as cracked down on though, a little more wiggle room would be nice.

I did email in on wanting to keep a thread up permanently where it would be free flowing and I was told I could request this on Bonanza’s feedback page right here [URL removed]

Maybe you can try to email into Bonanza though and may have better luck.

I’m reminded of a joke by the comedian, Gallagher, who said he once got an “F” on a test that only asked for his opinion. The old forums were somewhat similar, in that people got radical when someone expressed a different opinion than theirs. It often got pretty ugly.

Yes, it did. I can think of another forum where it does also, sad to say. Then there is a site called sellers helping sellers and that’s a good one, although slow but good.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
