I have been importing items by csv and everything has been working fine.
I have columns in my file for “UPC” and “brand”, and for the most part, this has been working fine.
I noticed on my last import, a lot of the UPC’s are missing after the import, but yet there is a UPC in the UPC field on the csv file.
Also, on one item, it set the brand as “generic” and when I checked the brand on my csv file it says RCA.
Would it make a difference if the “UPC” column on my csv file was changed to lowercase “upc” I did just read where all headers must be in lower case. I also have a column for “MPN” and that seems to have worked fine so far.
I want to be as Google compliant as possible, but at the moment I think I have just over 500 items with no UPC, Batch editor would take an awful long time to add that many manually.
Hopefully there is an easier way to get them to import from the csv file.
- Edit **
I just noticed something…
Do specific categories not require a UPC?
One of the Categories in questions is 9394, (Cell Phone Accessories), if you go to the category lookup page for Bonanza and search 9394, it only has 4 available traits for the category and UPC is not one of them…could that be why its not importing the UPC?
The items I added to category 176970 (iPad/Tablet/eBook Accessories), they did import with UPC and UPC is one of the traits for this category.
The other thing I just noticed, if the “title” of an item is too long in the csv file, it appears that it wont import that item. Is there a length restriction on title?

Hi @huntfordeals,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the confusion. Currently, not all categories require a UPC to be published on Google Shopping, and only items listed as “New” condition require UPC. If your category does not require UPC and that trait is not available on Bonanza, you will not be able to import the UPC via a CSV file.

Titles can be up to 80 characters. As @StarletVintageJewels mentioned, you can read more about uploading to Bonanza via CSV [URL removed]

Hope that helps!

You should be able to get some help from reading the new requirements for your listings from Google. Guess Bonanza is getting things ready.
