I set a coupon code up a couple of weeks ago and I just made a sale but I can’t tell this customer to use the coupon for his purchase because I don’t see the discount price on the item purchase summery order. How do you know if the customer got the discount or not? This is the first time I sold my item since I’ve created the coupon code. Please can someone answer my question?

Was the coupon made public? coupon codes can be made public or private (you give the buyer the code) if you did not give them the code, then they probably have not used it. See ccmom answer above also.

The discount would be on the invoice if they use the coupon…also you should be able to tell by the total price if a discount was made…

If you want your code to be active on your items you will need to publish the coupon code (Click on the button that says Publish this coupon)

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
