Decline in item views and sales

I’ve been here for about 2 months but have not sold 1 thing in almost 3 weeks. I have also noticed very very very low item and booth views in these last 3 weeks. Is it slow month for everyone or am I missing something. I have advertising set up just Economy for now because I don’t really understand how the Basic works with Bonanza Affiliate program.

Thanks for your help and any light you can shed.

Things are slow, but I do see your items in google shopping which is good

I also see loads of big box stores who have the exact same thing…which is lots of competition…

Not sure what you mean by this [URL removed]
I don’t really understand how the Basic works with Bonanza Affiliate program.

The advertising percentages have nothing to do with the affiliate program.

The different percentages allow for more options to advertise your items.

The economy means that your items get sent to google shopping (since they now charge to list items there) and the find. Also, allows for some ad click purchases that bonz will spread through the internet and you will pay a fvf (IF your item sells as a result of an ad/or through google)

Basic Means more ad clicks and you can send your items to ebay if you want, to allow your ebay buyers to know that you also have a bonanza shop…I have 9% for the extra ads, but don’t bother with ebay

The higher you go, the more ad clicks are purchased for your items and the more places your items are sent to…

The Affiliate program is a code placed on a separate website you run that brings shoppers to bonanza and if the person buys as a result of that click then you get…whatever..the reduced fees???

You’re confusing the free referrals with the affiliate program. The referral program is the one where the seller places a code on another website and then pays no fvf if there is a sale. The affiliate program is where a different seller places your items on his or website.

The affiliate gets a payment for the sale going through, and the seller pays the ususal fvf. And in fact, you do have to sign up for the “basic” advertising level (9%) to be eligible for the affiliate program.

thank you for the clarification…I used to have an affiliate account under the old one bonz had back in 2009…and was thinking when it was re-introduced that it was similar to the previous one. I see now that it has changed

Just reading all that makes my head hurt. It is a shame we have to deal with all that stuff. I wish it was as simple as making an item and listing. LOL

I do agree, seems like a lot to have to do but as with anything, nothing is free, you have to work to get the sales, advertise, social media etc. I have been buying and selling since 1998 and still have not figured it all out, the second I figure out another avenue then another one pops up. Good luck though

January is always a slow month for sales. After about 10 years I never saw big sales in January.

I have found that having a facebook page for your booth helps. You put in a clickable link to your booth. People can’t see your personal page, but you can toggle between your personal page and your business page & post on either. I currently have one business page for each of my booths. When you post on your business page the post goes to the people who have “liked” your page. Best thing is, it’s FREE!
