Did anyone manage to sell something here?
Almost a month and no sale
I am a pro gold member account, I do not see a real traffic to my booth — Less than a hundred items viewed
When I manage to sell on eBay the same items
It makes me [URL removed] Is Bonanza really work? Or is it better to focus on eBay??

Right now, video games seem to be selling well in my booth. Other things, not so much. You really have to promote your items yourself. Unlike Ebay, Bonanza doesn’t advertise that much. This place has so much potential. But I feel your pain! I get frustrated, too. I did well on Ebay but it’s so cut throat and some buyers aren’t very nice. Fees are ridiculous, too! So I think Bonanza is a better trade off. Less stress. Just a bit more work and I’m not ready to punch out my computer at some buyer who thinks I screwed them.

[URL removed] at the same time and resources do better results at the other sites !!

Been selling here since it first started as Bonanzle and use to get a lot of sales. It was a hot place to sell. Have changed nothing to my selling methods but the last year sales have gone down although I have been getting a lot more buyers who never respond or follow thru. Only thing I’ve changed was added more advertising to my account which I think helped but wish it would bring in buyers who would actually follow thru. Bonanza has added a lot of “extra” features to the site but I can’t see they have done much good. Need more sincere buyers and education for buyers. Something needs to been done as lately seems like a lot of sellers are closing there booths here from lack of sales.

Ebay costs more in the long run with constant fees, even if you want to relist an item. Here you can leave your items and even go on vacation and they won’t be cancelled. I’ve been here since 2008 and sold various items through the years. It really helps your booth if you put in the legwork to advertise your own booth. Ebay is a big ticket name, but at a cost. You just have to be prepared to lose quite a bit on a sale over there.

I sold something last night, but only because I brought the customer from Facebook, and she’s family. Otherwise, I’m not feeling a presence here at all, yet. Also, I find that Bonanza is kind of confusing, and so far doesn’t seem as user friendly as I had hoped. I posted a question last night about shipping, and I see there have been 17 views but not one helpful comment or piece of advice from anyone.
Now I see that even posting a comment is restrictive (looking at the side-bar explanation of all the rules on how to comment). Too many restrictions, not enough friendly, helpful faces not making me feel much like investing in the site.

Bonanza is not for everybody. There. I said it. If you want a venue that sells it for you, ebay is probably for you. If you want a venue that gives you, the seller, a controlling interest in your sales, are willing to work for those sales and enjoy dealing with non-neurotic/psychotic traffic, Bonanza could be for you. You can read the information Bonanza provides and you can make a choice as to what the advantages are. You don’t have to ask someone else. Just my opinion, unsolicited as it was. :)

I’ve been on Bonanaza for many years. In the beginning, it was a great marketplace. People were running away from Ebay and joining Bonanzle. You were able to post as many times as you wanted, which helped to obtain sales. Repetitive promotion is the key to sales. Bonanza took that away. There was a great community with many options and subjects to comment to. Bonanza took that away too. Since Bonanza took away all the advantages for the seller such as limiting promotional posts, banning sellers, eliminating parts of the community, this marketplace fell way down in sales. I myself went back to Ebay after all the changes effected my sales here. I recently came back and I find it very dreary here. Almost like an empty mall with great products.

If you go about it the same way as you do on ebay…it won’t work….it is a very different set up and in my opinion…a membership (increases) what is already established….need to make sure your items are in GPS (google shopping)..that they are following googles rules and that your feed is going out….
the criteria to bring buyers is a very different than to ebay or amazon…buyers go to those sites to shop…buyers come to your bonz booth because they did Not find what they were looking for at other places or they come for better prices…A majority of your sales will come from internet searches, social media and recommendations….
If your items are being found on ebay..then why would a buyer come looking for your items here. You can let your buyers know that you have moved some of your items to other locations, tweet, pin, and use the Bonanza app to put your items on a facebook business page…
Membership will increase what is established..and a month is not enough time to establish an internet presence…especially the month after the holidays
And yes, as a matter of fact I did the very well this past holiday season…one of the best yet…but that booth has strong rep and presence in google…

I do think Bonanza has lots of potential….First, it is really easy to list items quickly. The shipping calculator is fantastic and you can offer more than 1 mode of shipping. These features alone give Bonanza a real advantage over Ebay except for providing traffic. It appears that from other reviews, it makes little to no difference if you buy a membership or purchse upgrades. I briefly increased my commission to Bonanza to 19% over the holidays. I did sell some items but quickly reduced the commission back when I realized I was not making a profit on my items after paying the increased commission and payment processing fees. If I increased the price of the item, I would not have been competitive.
I think Bonanza could be the #1 marketplace IF they can get some balance in fees and traffic while still making a profit for themselves. With just the few items I sold on Bonanza over the holidays, my Bonanza fees surpassed my Ebay store fees greatly if I had sold the same items on Ebay. It’s a shame that Bonanza’s dashboard and interface is so fantastic and superior to Ebay’s, but they haven’t figured out how to strike a balance in other areas.
Here is a video critique of Bonanza by someone who listed on Bonanza successfully and then no sales. [URL removed]

I like Bonanza because of lower fees than EBay, but I’ve been on here over 2 weeks and no sales, and only 11 views. I’ve got the website, made a Facebook page, bought the premium package, and have about 75 items for sale. I’m really getting depressed over this. There has GOT to be some way Bonanza can get more traffic! ?? After all, if it wasn’t for us sellers, there wouldn’t be a business for them. Sigh.
