Domestic shipping, rates, and labels

Hi, not sure yet about bonanza; I see many ebayers moved here, why?

How does shipping work here – can’t seem to find that. Can I choose to only, ship to USA?
Is there a connected way to print shipping labels, & is there any shipping discount rate, discount off retail shipping prices?
Does Bonanza insert a “you will receive this product faster than is humanly possible” line, into your listings which you can’t remove?

You will have to ask why they moved…I left in 2009 and have not been back..it is more work but I am pretty much left alone to run my business

Anyway, you can indicate shipping to US only in the listings either individually or in batch edit.

You can also go to

Selling Dashboard
Click on Booth Settings
Payments and Purchases and set up your buyer restrictions
dscounts and coupons for combined shipping options and other discounts set up

As for shipping, that is a recent addition to bonz and I do not use it, I make shipping labels straight from PayPal for purchases. I have done that since 2009, and I really don’t see the need to change now…however, information on bonanza shipping service is here. You can choose to use it or some other option if you prefer

Here is the information on how that works

as to the humanly possible line…I don’t think so, at least not in anything I ever purchased here

Spend some time exploring batch edit (update items as a group) and all of the Booth Settings ..there are links there that can help you the information you seek

Yes, there is, but you have to prefund a shipping account AND you have to pay a fee to use it. Not a good deal, AT ALL. Although the rates are the commercial discounted rates, the fee eats up your savings. Better to use PayPal or some other third party shipping service.

Also know the SIZE of the package if you use calculated shipping here. They dont request the actual dimensions like the dark side auction site, only normal or large.
With the introduction of dimensional pricing by the USPS, anything over a cubic foot in size is not considered a normal package and it cost more because it is bigger. If you classify it as normal here, you may end up charging way less and then find out it is lots more to ship than the buyer paid for it. it is also unfortunate that Bonz don’t offer calculated shipping for Parcel Select, only Priority.

usps only offers parcel select for zones 5-9…unfortunately you cannot calculate for parcel until destination zipcode is entered….since Bonz uses USPS API code and USPS is phasing out parcel…can’t do much about it. However it does not stop the seller from using the option for zone 5-9…

and it is now called USPS Retail Ground™ (and if you compare it in zones 1-4 at PP or other places, priority is actually cheaper)

Very true ccmom! almost every time i check usps retail ground against priority rates, priority comes in less.

When I try to use calculated USPS, I dont see any sort of Parcel option (or whatever they call it this week). Only Media, Priority and Express so I only use Priority.

Also noticed that the G monster (Google) shows shipping costs for the Farthest distance from me which is much higher than if buyer puts in their actual ship zip into Bonz. G Monster not helping make sales by overstating ship costs.

you will only see it, IF the zipcode entered is in Zone 5-9 from your location. It will be under other options. As to google, that is why I just take a median shipping and use flat rate
