I'm new: explain 4(?) fees? turbo traffic & advertising levels & memberships & final value fees?

I’ve been on ebay for 12 years, I am brand new here. I don’t want to sound ignorant but I am trying to figure out all these fees.

Turbo Traffic Fees
Advertising Level Fees
Membership Fees

Then I assume some sort of Final Value Fees?

Could someone please take a moment and educate me on this?

THANK YOU! :-)

Warm Regards,

LISA

Hey Lisa, I like your booth. Lots of items, very professional looking and great imported rating! Since you are new (like me but been selling on Amazon for several years)I would suggest starting with basic advertising 9% for a a couple of weeks. Make sure you include the basic information for items to show up in Google Shopping.
Right now All of my sales came from Google shopping. I also added Amazon payments as a paying method. So far 1/3 of my sales used this option.

On Turbo traffic I can say that I got 4 days for free, LOTS OF VIEWS and sold NOTHING! All my sales have been in the 9% level. I have like 380 items with 14 sales since I joined early last month. I guess with Turbo result might vary a lot depending on what you sell, the time of the year, pricing, the amount if items in your booth, etc ,

On membership fees, like Silver,Gold, Platinum, etc. Again, test the waters at least for a month, gotta be patient here on Bonanza. So far I have not sold a single item directly on Bonanza (too bad, the site has great potential). The site is pretty much oriented to put your stuff in Google Shopping and other advertising venues. I chose the basic Silver membership and maybe would upgrade to Gold, depending on sales tendencies.
My main selling platform is Amazon right now but I like the look and feel of this site. Very easy to use and navigate. Seller support is also great.
GOOD LUCK Lisa and welcome to Bonanza… and hey, use those Bonanza tokens to get some discounts on the selling fees!

If you are just starting out here your best bet would be to start out with a standard free booth. You can list as many items as you want, when an item sells you pay a 3.5% final value fee on each transaction. Anything beyond that is a paid membership, such as the gold level, which is supposed to give you more views & better chances at sales. You can also increase advertising levels like going to 9% or 19% which is supposed to expose your booth to more shoppers(these are the percent of each sale which will be the final value/commission to Bonanza) & at those levels you will pay a higher commission to Bonanza for each sale because the advertising is considered to have garnered you more business. Turbo Traffic is basically supposed to be a burst of more traffic to your shop, you can buy packs for $24.95 which I believe last a few days. Bottom line, start with a free booth, see how it goes, but you will need to do some self promotion like on social media. If you do well, you can always upgrade to a paid membership. I notice that many sellers ( most not all) who have the highest paid memberships seem to get a lot of sales but the membership fees are quite high. The Gold membership is the most popular, fairly reasonably priced, the lowest cost option is the Silver membership which is the most basic. For the gold you can pay monthly or if you choose annually, the monthly fee is slightly less but you pay the entire year up front. The other higher membership levels do not appear to be offered monthly. Support on this site is very responsive & helpful should you need it. Best of luck to you!!

Starting with the free booth is the way to go if you are new. Get the feel of how everything works here and get all your items listed before starting on a paid membership, that is what i would do, then when you are ready to do a membership, they have a 30 day free trial you can sign up for., just make sure you cancel before the 30 days is up, and only pick the month to month, not annual membership.

Final value fee is 3.5% for each transaction…..However, you can increase your advertising level…..You do not pay till an item sells, then it is taken out as a final value fee., and many times, it is lower that what you signed up for, but will never go over the amount you signed up for. You don’t pay anything upfront at all.

Here on bonanza, we are not as well known as ebay, etsy etc…..So we all self promote with fb, twitter, etc. If you have duplicate items on both sites (ebay and bonanza) it may be wise to list your items here on bonanza just a touch lower in price so that if a buyer from ebay wants to search to see if they can find a better price, and they see your item on bonanza as being lower, hopefully they will come here and buy it from you.

Wishing you the best of luck!!
