I’m running into a slight problem offering a proper discount to my buyers using the discount options of my booth. I’m looking for some ideas how to get around the limitations.
I offer free shipping on all my items. My shipping costs are rolled into my selling cost. I can easily offer a combined shipping discount for each additional item purchased, but currently the booth subtracts a percentage or dollar amount off the shipping cost.
Problem is, my shipping cost are zero, so the customer receives no discount at the check out.
Not sure how i’d go about creating coupon codes to make my discount work. I’m looking to offer a xx% discount for every item purchased after the initial item. (xx% discount on purchase price of each additional widget purchased)
Any ideas? I could include the discount in the listing, but ultimately the customer would have to contact me for discount. I’m looking to keep this as automated as possible.
Thanks!!

In your edit booth options under the discounts and coupons tab, where it gives the option to add an amount for each additional item, the drop down also gives an option to subtract an amount per item. Maybe that will work for what you’re trying to do. Support should be able to tell you if this option will work with free shipping.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
