Hi,
I am in the process of setting up my booth and even though I have been selling online for years I will be starting here on Bonanza from scratch.
I see we can import feedback from Ebay so I was wondering would it help with buyer confidence if I did it now or is it better to wait a while until I have had a few sales here (fingers crossed).
Just a bit of guidance would be helpful.
Many Thanks,
Sue

IMO, you should import the eBay feedback now so that potential buyers will immediately see that you are a good seller and that you are trustworthy. Feedback is a good indicator of your seller reputation and you might as well use that to your advantage.

I agree with Tom. Feedback is feedback. Whether you sold on another website(s), it is you who was the seller. Some choose not to bring it with them because it was not a pleasant experience. Generally, if your record was good on a bad site, it’s a testimony to your customer service skills. I realize some feel they were a victim of injustice, or whatever, and they may choose to forfeit that part of their history. I have no problem with that. After a short while elsewhere I came here, carrying no baggage. I had the feedback sent later.

I’m with the others here. If you have been fortunate to escape the snake-pit without getting burned by evil buyers bring your feedback. If you haven’t start from scratch.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
