Is the product review system all screwed up?

So I listed one item a couple of days ago with its unique UPC number and all basic attributes. A couple of days later some customers reviews are shown in that listing. You would assume that the reviews are about that particular item but they are NOT!
Both reviews were about completely different products and from different years. They even show the pictures of those unrelated items? This is a major GLITCH and it is annoying! Has anybody noticed this?

I have found that the product review message comes up if one or more different items have the same upc (which is true for PEZ packs, even though each Pez is different…though technically the same, the item is different and can cause a review) or if I accidently entered the upc wrong or with a space either before or after the number. When I make corrections howevever the item remains up for review…Since my other booth sells similar items to yours you may have done the same thing

What I do then is make a new listing and just delete the one up for review…it usually works. Well, it has worked the 3 times it happened to me..the new listing goes live without any issue

The item I listed has a unique UPC and just came ot this year (not part of any assortment) Now one review is from 2014 and the other one from 2015 for 2 different items. Messed up! I will try relisting then. Thanks!

I’ve tried to get this resolved for literally years- makes no sense at all but doesn’t seem to make a difference to Bonz

Oh my gosh! I will still report it though. Thanks!

It may not be a glitch at all.

Shoddy sellers will make up UPC codes or just put in any old code from a similar item, in order to get their items listed on Google Shopping, Amazon, etc. Now that Google Shopping is requiring GTINs on all new items, it has become even more hassle.

Yes, i believe the whole idea behind it that if the item is similar enough, or same upc code, it will show up as a item review so buyers can see what others think about the item….Personally, I dont like this feature at all.

You are able “hide” the items reviews, but you have to have a silver membership.
