Hi, I’m new to Bonanza and doing my best to get up to speed. I’ve read over the tips on how best to write titles, descriptions, etc. in order to get my listings “approved”. I may have already made a couple mistakes. Before I go through all my listings and edit them could someone please help me with a few questions.
All my imported eBay listings have the brand (manufacturer) of the item in the title. [URL removed] women’s blouse by Banana Republic. I read that I should not include the name of the manufacturer in the title. Does this apply to women’s clothing? I’ve found that most buyers on eBay are searching for a certain brand. Wouldn’t having that in the title help them find my listing?
Also in all my eBay listings I put the brand in all caps. I thought this would make it easier for a buyer if they are looking at a whole page of listings. Should I go back through my listings and take out the all caps? (That’s only if I’m keeping the brand name in the title).
The biggest seller of women’s clothing on eBay; BHFO uses all caps for the brand in their listings. I’ve tried to follow their model.
Does the all caps rule apply to just Bonanza/Google search or do you recommend I do not put the brand in all caps on eBay, too? Should I also edit all my eBay listings?
Since all my listings are already posted to eBay is there a way I can choose to only pay to advertise on google shopping? There’s no sense in paying for the eBay if my items are already over there.
I will have more questions as I go along. I appreciate your sharing your knowledge and all your help. Thank you in advance.

Hello Welcome to Bonanza,
To answer some of your question I would recommend to keep the Manufacturer in the details of your listing , this may help later if you ever export to other channels and doesn’t hurt to have this information as well . As for the capital letters i would highly recommend not having all caps for the brands , this is frowned upon google shopping and they may not accept your listing to be published .Also advertising is up to you , since your products are published on eBay it may not help there , but the other advertising channels may help such as price grabber or Bing I personally do 19% and just adjust my prices accordingly .

You can use all caps in a brand name…if it is the logo or the way that the business does it, same if they use some unusual punctuation…
Like iPad the P is capitalized because that is the way the brand is presented, so using cap is fine…
FOSSIL is fine, since that is the way it is on the logo…but CHLOE is not ok, because it presents itself as Chloé
Otherwise use normal punctuation….
Also, know that ebay will start blocking listings going to google that are not also google compliant…google is kind of had it ebay…
Secondly, if you are bringing your items from ebay and do not plan on doing any listing here and exporting to ebay, then no, you do not need to use the ebay advertising option..
That is for listings going to ebay and the work bonz has to do to set it up…not for listings coming from ebay..
Please not google has made some changes

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
