Newbie here- can someone explain shipping profiles?

Obviously I ship within the US.
But, I also ship overseas.
Flat rate shipping for both. Different fees.
How do I create a shipping profile to cover both?
Or is it simpler to just do them seperately?

Dang, I hope that made sense.

From all the many marketing platforms out there, Bonanza is the most hard to understand and unfriendly-to-use, especially the shipping methods options which even if looks like there are many methods, in reality is very limited. Good luck with your sales in Bonanza ;)

Just answered this for someone shipping from UK…instructions are the same…anyway…

You can do this several ways..

When you make a listing, put in flat rate for US, fill in the Flat Box
Click on I will ship outside the US. Please see details in the item description.
Click on all the areas you are willing to ship
Then put a flat rate in the box I will ship outside the US for a flat rate of $

Then click on Save my selections as a new shipping profile
however, the profile merely saves the fact that you ship out side US and the rate will be applied if you use the profile in batch edit and ship at a flat rate in the US…but does not put the price in, because, not everyone does straight across the board… (If you do this at time of listing)

But if you [URL removed]

In batch edit you can apply the shipping profile you created and it will put in the International shipping costs and destinations…but you will still have to add the US shipping for each listing (unless already done when making listing)

So making a profile, will merely save you from having to add each International destination/price every time….

If you are importing or listings from scratch…you can use the Batch edit

If your US shipping is fine on all items, ignore the instructions…

You will have to go into Batch Edit..
Click on Shipping

Clear all Domestic Shipping and All international Shipping and start all over (Ignore if Domestic is okay)

Select items
Select Clear domestic shipping services
Click on Apply Changes
Select Clear international shipping prices
Apply Changes

Now you have no shipping for anyone…(if cleared both)

Now Select Flat Rate shipping Price for US (if it is going to be the same for all items then select all items…if not you will have to do this as many times as necessary)

Apply Changes

Now Select Add international shipping service.

Click on the boxes for any destination
Click on Flat Rate $XX.XX
Apply Changes

Also do the same for any other international shipping you wish to set up…if different destinations have different costs

When you make a listing and do shipping set up…

Just click on Flat Rate and put in the amount for US

Then click on I will ship outside the US and put in $XX.00 for outside (this was stated above)

I hope you are not totally confused..
