Silver membership vs no membership

I’ve seen the features of Silver membership. Most of them are not really something special.
BUT, in real life, if anybody has any experience with that, does it bring traffic and sales ?

I tried all the advertising levels – all useless. So I went back to “organic”.
Maybe advertising levels are getting more effective over some longer time.
My logic says that the system of advertising doesn’t start working in a few weeks, but in a couple months ?
Any feedback on this ?

Didn’t realize you were the same person asking a different version of the question! sorry! but honestly if higher levels didn’t work I wouldn’t have high hopes for the lowest. best of luck!

The memberships upgrades give tools to work with when the sales are steady…but will do little if the booth is not ready..note time (most important), strong back links, good keywords are the only way to build reputation for google…otherwise use ebay or amazon they already have the reputation

I have a stand alone store elsewhere..it took almost a year before it was strong enough to compete in google searches and unfortunately with many updates it is harder and harder…It will take time with the booth too…but most give up before they have even established a presence

One more comment..one month is no where near enough time and it will be harder in US for international seller…

“…most give up before they have even established a presence.” I agree Ccmom! Most want quick sales, not long-term marketing and promotion to establsih a presence and generate a following.

You are better off keeping a regular free booth open, the membership levels, especially a minimalist one like Silver, will do nothing, each seller needs to self promote & keep a large & varied inventory listed. Keep listing, use neat, professional photos &use social mmedia & all platforms available to self promote. Good luck!

I agree with jewelsbelegance, just keep the free booth and advertise and load it up with items. I had silver on a trial basis, and I did get sales, but it was around the holidays also, if i remember correctly, so not sure if it was the silver membership or just people looking more than usual.

Hey Everyone, I’m new to the community as well, and started listing a few items. I’ve opted for the highest commission-based advertising because of the quantity of potential buyers but my booth stats is still at 2 views?

Even with the highest advertising levels added, because of being less well known, there is not going to be the same level of traffic on this site as say eBay or Amazon. you will also need to list more items, the more you have listed the more views you will get.

it is also good to self promote whenever possible like on social media. the listings you have up now look nice though. Good luck!
