I thought it was 3.5% with a 50 cent minimum? Yet in April, one transaction was charged 8.35% and one was charged 7.15%? According to [URL removed]
[URL removed]
it’s 3.5%. In fact,
[URL removed]
states it is about one-third of what you would pay on eBay. Neither 8.35% nor 7.15% is one-third of the 9% currently being charged by eBay – in fact, what I’m being charged is barely less than eBay?
So is there an error in the fees being assessed? Thanks!

HI all
Let me see if I can help.
During the seller account setup, immediately after the Credit card identity page is the page to opt out of Google Shopping. The page has the agreement to pay seller fees, to Enable the Buy It now so buyers can checkout immediately
Then the Advertising section is directly below.
Get the Most out of [URL removed]
Publish my items to Google Shopping (max commission of 9% when something sells)
Send me an email explaining about other features etc on the site.
If the checkbox to Publish my items to google shopping is checked the account is enrolled in Google Shopping.
To remove the account from Google Shopping go to
Sell on Bonanza > Advertise items
Check the commission of 3.5%.
The listings will no longer be published to Google Shopping
Hope that helps!

Please also remember that with a minimum of $.50 fee, even at 3.5% if the item you sold is less than $10.00 then the .50 fee will show as 5% fee (which is greater than 3.5%)…
When it first started, we did have to opt in, because the ads started before google started charging, but after google started charging, you had to opt out or you were automatically signed up for ad clicks
Also, note that you are charged up to the percentage dependent on the number of clicks your item receives…
>>states it is about one-third of what you would pay on eBay<t here when the changes occurred…
However, if you ever even looked at the Sell On Bonanza link and investigated the tabs..then you should have seen it..
guess the guys need to update the fee page about google ad clicks

How would I know if I was signed up for Google Shopping? I simply created a Bonanza account and imported stuff from eBay? And if so, how does that work? Could I theoretically be charged MORE than on eBay? Thanks!

It must mean you are signed up to advertise your items in Google shopping. I’m guessing that you signed your maximum up to be at 9% FVF.
At 3.5% FVF (minimum of .50 cents), your items will not appear in Google shopping. If you use google.com and type in the words Google product search, click on that link and you will be taken to Google shopping. While in there, you can either type in the name of your business or try typing in some of the keywords to your listings into their search box and you’ll see that your items come up in there.
People can sign up to advertise their listings by going to the top left of this page, hover your cursor over Sell on Bonanza and click on Advertise items from the drop down. Once there you’ll see info on advertising your listings in Google shopping.
Though you are signed up at 9% FVF, as you can see you were not charged the full 9%. Bonanza will never charge you over 9% since you signed up for this percentage. Much of the time though your FVF will still be under 9%. This is because if it did not take many clicks from within Google shopping until a shopper bought your listing, then your FVF percentage will be lower than the 9%.
There is a way to choose what listings you want to appear in Google shopping and which ones you do not….that way for items that you do not want to pay over 3.5% FVF on, you can manually set those listings up to not appear in Google shopping. Just post back here and I’ll look back in a few hours or so and I’ll explain……..unless someone happens to go ahead and explain prior.
Here is a link to read up on advertising our listings to Google shopping. [URL removed]

Your best bet is to contact Bonanza support with your questions. They’re extremely responsive, I’ve found, to anything having to do with questions about fees.
You can reach them through the contact form on the Help page, or by emailing them directly at support@bonanza.com
To check if you have opted in to Google Advertising, point your mouse over the “Sell on Bonanza” link at the top of the page and click on “Advertise Items”.
You will see your current status on that page, as well as the percentage you’ve agreed to pay, if you have opted into the program.

Keep in mind that the percentage will be higher than 3.5% when the item’s price is less than $14.28
For instance, a $6 item (without advertising) will incur a $0.50 minimum fee. That translates to a FVF of 8.33%

Are you signed up to advertise on Google Shopping? If so, you will be charged more if that advertising resulted in your sale. I think the percentage amount depends on how many views the item got before resulting in a sale that clicked through from the google ad….

If you did not opt out of advertising then I believe you are automatically enrolled at the 9%. I think you can opt out under the sell on bonanza tab, then advertising. I could be wrong but I think that’s how it works now.
