Hi
Is their a Difference between “booth setting” “google shopping” toggle ON or OFF, VS Advertise items “google shopping” 9% fee BASIC or 3.5% fee Economy?
IS the booth setting “google shopping” ECONOMY which is defaulted to “yes” Free? and remain at 3.5% fee even if someone finds you through google?
In booth settings “Add my items to Google Shopping” is default to yes. But I have my Advertising set at 3.5 Economy. What happens if someone buys my item through a google link?
Is this Booth setting “Google shopping” different than the 9% fee google shopping marketing in the BASIC 9% fee?
If you leave your ECONOMY booth setting to add my items to google shopping do you still get charged 3.5% (if you have your advertising set at 3.5%) no matter what?
Basically are their two levels of google shopping promotion? Economy=3.5% and Basic=9.0%
Or do you have to uncheck the economy booth setting “google shopping” even if you have the 3.5% economy “advertise” setting set at 3.5% rate to actually maintain the 3.5% rate????
These two settings for google shopping are confusing and contradict each other.
Thanks
V

Let’s try this
The “booth setting” “google shopping” toggle ON or OFF…this is a setting to send your items to google…
_if set at yes, without advertising of 9% your items will *NOT go to google-*
This setting is left over from when google shopping (GPS) did not charge for listings…it can also be used if you decide not to use google as a advertising option…
So to have your items in GPS you have to choose the advertising option of 9%
You also have the option of only sending a portion or selected items to GPS in Batch Edit Search optimize.
SO…
3.5% is fvf without any advertising (and your items are NOT sent to google shopping, despite the edit booth setting of Add my items to Google Shopping)
The maximum of 9% is the fvf to send your items to GPS, and will only be charge if the sale is a result of advertising clicks or GPS clicks….but you can opt for 9% advertising and still suppress some or all items and the advertising would probably just be isolated ads (assuming here, not known for sure)
>>>>IS the booth setting “google shopping” ECONOMY which is defaulted to “yes” Free? and remain at 3.5% fee even if someone finds you through google?<<<
Your items will not go to google shopping (GPS) without the option of the advertising, however your items can still be found in google organic search..and the charge as a result of google organic click or bonanza internal click is the 3.5%
[URL removed] Amazon does not send their items to google shopping (they opted out of the ‘pay to play’ option since they did not really need it)
and ebay, pays to send items to GPS from the fees they collect from sellers, and ebay chooses what to send…
Here you choose what to send, and how you are willing to pay to send the items

So are you saying that if I turn “off” “google shopping” in the booth settings it will turn off the “google organic search”? or will the "google organic search remain on? I’d rather just turn it off, cause I don’t understand if I import new items if this “google shopping” “on” with move new imports into the 9% category, even if I have the “advertise” setting on 3.5% fvf economy. But I’d hate to miss out on a “google organic search” if I can get a sale from a free google search.
I’m still not understanding fully what the point of having this duplicate setting in the “booth setting” when it appears to be taken care of in “booth advertise”?
Why would I be able to turn it “on” in booth settings, but off on the “advertise” selection of “economy”.
Why does Bonanza have a Mystery warning not to turn it off without explaining what it does or show that it costs 9% to add it? something similar to “if you don’t know what this means, don’t do it” message?
Is the default the 9% when you first import your ebay listings for the first time if you don’t switch this “booth setting, google shopping on” to off? Even though it doesn’t mention that your getting charged 9% to leave it on (the default)?
I don’t remember seeing either of these options the first time I imported my ebay listings on signup.
But when I look at my fees, I got charge 9% instead of 3.5% even though when I signed up I was assured I would still be saving money over ebay fees if I agreed to the 3.5% buyer discount on ebay imports. I thought the total amount I would be giving up was going to be 7%, but instead it ended up being 12.5% which is more that what it would have cost me when the item would of sold on ebay.
I do understand the ability to sell is 3 times greater if you pick the basic 9% fee, but with the 3.5% ebay import discount this doesn’t do me any good if the item will eventually sell on ebay anyway. And if I use the 9% advertise feature to get a more realistic sales increase through google shopping then I wouldn’t want to use the Bonanza 3.5% or 1% ebay import discount option. The 9% fee is probably pretty much the same as ebay store fees of 9% and on some things only 4,5,6,7, and 8%, but with the added shipping fee % and store fee, its probably pretty close or Bonanaza might still be cheaper. So the 9% option still might be viable, just without the ebay import discounts.
However I just want to make sure I’m on the 3.5% plan, hopefully still with organic google searches even if I turn the “google shopping” off in the booth settings? Cause I did get one sale from either bonanza or an organic google search….it didn’t specifiy which, I don’t think, just that it was at the 3.5% rate.
I do think it would be good to have multiple rate choices on each and every item, if this is possible. I think I would be more than willing to accept the higher 9% or possible 13% rates on items I’ve relisted more than a few times on ebay, but I’d rather set my easy to sell items and new listings at the 3.5% rate.
Thanks
