I am unable to remove the attribute [[identifier_[URL removed] from the Batch Editor. Although I did not place it there, it has been applied to many of my items that do have valid MPN, Brand, and UPC identifiers. Does anyone know how to delete it? I have tried over and over and it will not work.
Edit to say, I did place [[identifier_[URL removed] in the remove search attribute area, but it does not remove it when checked and apply changes clicked
Edit [URL removed] as I mentioned in the OP, my items do have the required attributes, yet many are marked incorrectly. example below. I want to remove the false and cannot. Prior to these being somehow added, my google feed came back with zero errors. I have dozens and dozens like this

As per above brand and UPC are correct,
@lowerwholesale, much jewelry will not have 2 of 3 required UPC’s, nor will vintage or antiques. Many of us have booth exemptions for these categories, However Google has now replaced the booth category exemption with the False Identifier If it is added to items who do have valid UPC codes however, a feed could be suspended from Google. Many of my items where this is placed incorrectly are now not showing up on Google Shopping.
I would like to know how to remove the identifier.
And yes, I did contact support yesterday and am still waiting on an answer.
[URL removed] the brand is correct as entered. As I mentioned, my feed comes back with zero errors. In addition, I had a google rep. check my entire feed about 9 days ago, and all was correct for what they require. If I have to take out UPC’s and re-add just to remove the False Identifier, it will take hours and hours. In addition, there is no guarantee that it will not be programmed in again.
@lowerwholesale, the underscore is acceptable and used frequently in attributes for programming

The attribute [[identifier_[URL removed] is auto added on our side depending on the rule that we set up to identify items that do not have the required attribute. In this case we just needed to adjust the rule to acknowledge the required information being present (UPC, etc). This has been updated on our side. Nothing is required on your side. If you need additional assistance, please contact us at support@bonanza.com or click on the “Contact” link at the bottom of each page on Bonanza to get in touch with our support team.

Texas…if you add the missing identifiers (brand, mpn, gtn, upc, isbn)..then the [[identifier_[URL removed] disappears. You do not have to delete it
ie I added the mpn to an item that had the [[identifier_[URL removed] and the [[identifier_[URL removed] disappeared in batched..
@Sharon “depending on the categories you select” probably means what it says..each category has different item traits, so automatic attributes would be different depending on category ie books have isbn, merchandise has upc…

We need some sort of fix for this it seems. You may want to try removing it several times. There was a seller who could not remove an attribute and after several times she got it to remove. This was an attribute prior to the False attribute was added. This may work or may not. I know though over the long haul that this is not the answer.
Do not do the Reset Attributes under Update Items as a Group for this situation. Here is what Mark said on that (I’m mentioning this just as a precaution).
“When you use the reset tool, it will remove all attributes that you have manually added and will only show the automatic attributes that we have set (depending on the categories you select).”
Editing to [URL removed] I’m not sure what he meant about “depending on the categories you select” means. I’ll go over to the newest blog and ask what this means.

GTIN, Global Trade Identification Number is a UPC code for the USA or EAN for Europe
[URL removed] if you have 2 of the 3, you should not have False as an attribute. This can cause your items to not show up on Google shopping or be suspended completely. You need either GTIN, Brand or MPN to comply.
Google states that if the identifier False is used where other UPC’s exist, they have the right to suspend the feed and items.
I had to edit my original post to show examples and better explain the problem.

What is the gtn? I have the other required items, but it is still putting in false because of no gtn.
- Edited
Then my feeds will be rejected, because it is showing up on items that I have UPC codes and Brand listed. Another Bonanza mess. I give up, not going to worry about it anymore. Sales are dropping here anyway.

It is also not accepting isbn for books as identifier….books were not required to have 2 of the 3 identifiers…
[URL removed] now looks like isbn is accepted…and nothing else is needed..thank goodness…

Here’s the [URL removed] Depending on the type of product, Google relies on Unique Product Identifiers (UPI’s) to properly classify various items. The UPI’s can include brand, manufacturer part number (mpn) and the GTIN (Global Trade Product Identifier) which would be the UPC code or similar code used in other countries, or the ISBN for books. The specific UPI, or combination of them, depends on the product. Google explains everything [URL removed]
[URL removed]
NOTE that there is an EXCEPTION to these required attributes. Google says, "in categories where unique product identifiers are required but no such identifier exists for an item (e.g. custom goods), submit ‘identifier exists’ with a value of FALSE.
What this is telling you is that there ARE exceptions to the rules. Therefore, the rules don’t apply to the exceptions. When you HAVE an exception – such as a custom made item, you need to use the ‘identifier exists’ with a value of FALSE. This gets you your “hall pass” to allow the item to be listed in Google shopping.
With that thought in mind, let’s look at what Bonz does. When you complete the various item attribute fields in a listing, Bonz checks your entry against the Google requirements for the item you are listing. If you’ve completed all fields necessary to meet the Google UPI requirement, then the item is good to go. But if you have NOT, then it will get the identifier [URL removed] attribute, which should result in a “hall pass” for that item.
Here’s where the PROBLEM comes [URL removed] If you have an item which does, in fact, have a part number, brand, UPC or other required information, BUT YOU FAIL TO ENTER IT, Google might detect the failure, and flag the item, and perhaps even the seller, as being in violation of the rules. Lots of bad mojo, for that. You’ve got a counterfeit hall pass. Better to mark these items so that they are not included in your feed.
Hope that helps.

If you’re in the batch editor / search optimize and you look right underneath the list of attributes, you’ll see the reason that an attribute was or was not included. It’s in lighter type with a box around it. For instance, for one of my jewelry items which is handmade it [URL removed]
[[identifier_[URL removed] was added because this item does not include at least 2 of the following [URL removed] gtin, mpn, brand
If I were to add in the MPN and brand, that value would automatically disappear, replaced by the information I had provided.

I’ve changed the identifier attributes to FALSE and still my items are not visible. Contacted [URL removed] programmers to help me with that probem, however it still remains
