Catergories

hi, i never really had a lot in my store but im starting to upload quite a few.

However, i cant find the ‘catergory’ section. I know they have catergories here on bon. But what about just in my store?

Does anyone know if this is offered, ive been banging my head looking for it, then it dawned on me, maybe its not offered.

which would leave me to the next question, can we get catergories for our shop? lol

Not exactly sure what you are asking..there are the bonanza categories..you see them when you list and in your booth or you can [URL removed]

Custom categories are under Edit booth options
Categories and Sorting
Click on Create your own booth categories
Yes
then you can create your own categories and then decide to manually add or automatically have items added and…

If you have a membership you can make your own custom subcategories and organization also….which maybe be what you are asking?

From what I see in your booth (store, left column *Browse Categories), most of your items are in Collectibles or Crafts with sub categories of*

Collectibles
>> Vintage, Retro, Mid-Century

Crafts
>> Beads & Jewelry Making
>> Home Arts & Crafts
>> Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts

Whenever you make a listing the category listings are right under the area where you upload the pictures

If your items were not in a category, then they would not be complete and would not be visible in your booth….

I do not use custom categories, I use bonanza categories which I find to be totally adequate..so for custom category creation and organization, you may have to wait for someone else to answer…

but you do already have categories

I believe you can only set up custom categories if you’re a paying member – silver, gold, platinum etc. I don’t use them, even though I could … I find the Bonanza categories more than adequate, and it seems to me that setting up custom categories could be a lot of work, depending on how many items you have in your store.

Anyone can use custom cats., and they are wonderful to have if you use them.

Custom categories are available to everyone. Sub-cats are available to only paying members.

I see you already have categories in your booth and they look to be custom cats.

It appears to me that you do have your booth set up for custom categories. Just a comment—unless your booth is gonna have a LOT of listings, I suspect that custom cats are more trouble than they’re worth. There can be changes within the venue that may cause you to have to reset your custom cats from time to time, which just seems like a colossal pain to me. But I also know that folks are different. Best wishes!

One thing I learned is [URL removed] when you set up your categories, be SURE that the name of the category is included in your listing. Otherwise, it won’t show up at all.

I put the word in the title; some people add it as a stand-alone word in smaller print at the very end of their listing.
