Chargebacks and direct cards

Hopefully someone has some experience with Bonanza’s process because we are beyond frustrated with CS and 1/2 answers. I will be honest, we have been selling online for almost 7 years now through various channels, including our own site, and I find the business practices regarding Bonanza accepting credit cards to be less than honest. Some things we need to [URL removed]

1.) Regardless of what they tell you, it takes close to 10 days to receive your payment (we are on day 11 on on of ours). Have others experienced this?

2.) Chargebacks incur a $30 fee, regardless of outcome. Bonanza fights the chargeback for you but does not tell you any information on the process, the reason for the chargeback, or the outcome. You have no recourse in fighting or appealing it. Does anyone have any info on this?

3.) There is NO transparency in terms of their levels of risk (for example, buyer uses a credit card not in their name, from a different state/country/etc., using a different IP address). On our other sites, the card would be rejected or at the very least we get a notification that the activity is suspicious and we should keep an eye out for it. We get nothing of this on here. They process the card throw it up on the wall, and see if it sticks. We are starting to request signatures on all transactions over $75 to mitigate this risk but frankly, we should have more information. Is there a place we can find this information?

4.) Customer service is BEYOND slow getting back to you and when they do, many times it is with very incomplete information.

Bottom line, using credit cards here, with very little information, is a huge risk. We would love to keep using the service, but we are seriously thinking of disabling our account, or at least, disabling the credit card portion, until we get some answers.

Any info would be great!!

not defending, because I think things are a bit slow on the credit card options…but everything you said is in the Terms…

The deposits are made 5-10 days after tracking has shown that the item has been delivered (not sold)…don’t know where/when you are counting from…also it is business days and there was a holiday in the past 10 days…that information is in the terms of service

Mine have all been deposited within 7-10 days (after purchase…which was about 2-3 days after tracking showed delivery..only the first couple took longer…afterwards it became more regular)

as to the chargeback…so far I have not had to deal with that, but if it becomes and issue, I will disable the credit card option…buyers can use the credit card options in Paypal without having an account as well as CBA…

As to suspicious credit cards, they are processed through Braintree so unsure of the process they use to approve the buyers credit cards…

Hello! According to the tos you [URL removed]

Also, the biggest issue for us is that we are expected to simply ‘trust’ their process. We have no say in fighting the chargeback or even information as to WHY it is being charged back. We are charged the fee and then hear nothing. Customer service is a joke…. 3 days to answer an email? Come on!

IM sorry, I dont know why it didnt let me send [URL removed]

We will initiate a deposit of Registered Seller’s Available Balance into Registered Seller’s Bank Checking Account within two (2) to five (5) days after the merchandise associated with the Payment Transaction is scheduled to arrive at the buyer’s address, per the tracking information provided by the Registered Seller.

One other thing, according to their customer service it is calendar days… not business days. I asked this specifically to clarify. Just seems like a very long time and it is so sporadic. I have never dealt with a company that holds your money and does not give you a specific deposit date

TrinketBox says: July 09, 2015

agreed it is sporadic…please note, that paypal transfers also says it takes 2-5 days to process a transfer (though at paypal you can access funds). CBA transfers are 14 days unless you are a higher tier seller…so yes there are other places that put holds on money …

Yes but I dont get it transfered to paypal, it is transfered to my account and if it stated ‘funds released’ I would be ok with the wait, it is still saying ‘funds in escrow’. The bigger issue is the lack of support on the Bonanza side.
