I just printed a priority shipping label and got free insurance, and the label states Priority Two Day Delivery. There are a lot of new features available with USPS which will make it so much easier to ship and to track. The new tracking feature is cool too.

Thanks for the reminder.
The only shipping labels I’ve printed the last few days have been first class, so no insurance, which is understandable. I read a comment recently that the amount of insurance , $100 or $200, is based on whether your postage rate is commercial or commercial plus. I think this was in Ina’s blog but there was still some question about that.
So, did you have to enter a value, when printing the label? How much insurance did you receive? Do we know where the insurance rates are for items valued over $100 or $200?

I did last night, but now it has yesterday’s date and 2 days delivery on it….guess I am now going to have to be careful when I print shipping labels.

Thanks for letting us know. Cindybear, you should be able to choose a shipping date, up to 5 days in advance I think. I often work on a Saturday and post mark my dates for Monday.

Like the insurance idea as UPS of course has always had that and made many ship with them just for that reason.

Just discovered the free Insurance today – Clerk told me it has been for about a week. I was sending a Priority Large Flat Rate and the maximum free insurance was $50.00
