Ean instead of upc

Hi,

Can I list EAN instead of UPC for my products? Is it allowed and will it be passed onto Google correctly? If so, can I use EAN as one of the trait element for each variant?

Please advise how do I add EAN via inventory csv import?

Thanks

For all new products, which have a GTIN assigned and are submitted with the condition attribute, You should submit the following attributes (unique product identifiers): gtin, brand and also mpn is recommended.

Gtin [URL removed] UPC, EAN, JAN, ISBN

Your products have either UPC or EAN – both are unique numerical identifiers for commercial products that’s usually associated with a barcode printed on retail merchandise, [URL removed]

- the first is used primarily in North America, Universal Product Code (UPC), also called GTIN-12 and UPC-A, 12 numeric digits

- and the second is used primarily outside of North America, European Article Number (EAN), also called GTIN-13, typically 13 numeric digits (can occasionally be either eight or 14 numeric digits).

So, if Your products have EAN attribute, submit it.
