Google shopping issue

I have imported my items from ebay but was informed that 3931 of my items we disapproved by google.. I wish to remedy this but I am not sure what the issue is? The main culprit is “Validation/missing required#price” not sure what this means. I’m relatively new to non ebay ecommerce so I may need to be spoon fed.. any insight would be greatly appreciated ..thank you ..

My guess is that the first thing that may need changing is your usage of ALL CAPS in your listing titles. That is a no-no on Google’s end. Then, as others have/might suggest is that you need to have item details in your listing. While you have some, you are missing some of the most important ones… UPC, Brand, Model (if applicable).

When you create or edit an item, the details appear after you pick the category that your item will sell in. Pay attention to the details that have a blue “G” after the fill-in box. Those are the details that Google either wants or needs before your items show up in Google Shopping.

Thank you for the the insights .. pretty much what I figured but I truly appreciate you taking the time to offer your expertise .. Thanks!!

I have not seen the price one before but check to make sure where you’ve got free shipping marked that you’ve also selected the type of shipping service listed from the drop down.

I do not think this is it though but do check.

Also, do you have any UPCs for your listings? Unless they are handmade hats, you’ll need to add UPCs. There will be 12 digits in the UPC.

The reason you did not know if any of your items were disapproved from Google shopping on eBay is because eBay leaves no way for a seller to see this.

Next route would be to check with Bonanza support. I’ve had good luck with them getting back to me within 24 hours, some times less.

Welcome to Bonanza.

Here is a link to a database of UPC codes. You can put in the product name and find the UPC. I’ve used it and it’s good and free.

Thanks for the link. The site I was using no longer works.

Thanks for the great link !!

You have a price mark down on your items, could that be an issue? All caps is so hard to read, not sure why so many people use all caps.

Google’s examples of what’s not allowed (a part about punctuation, symbols, capitalization, spacing, or repetition that are not used correctly or for their intended purpose):

“Excessive or gimmicky use of numbers, letters, symbols, punctuation, emoticons, emoji, repetition, or spacing, [URL removed] f1owers, fllllowers, fl@wers, Flowers!!!, f*l*o*w*e*r*s, FLOWERS, FlOwErS, F.L.O.W.E.R.S, flowers-flowers-flowers!, f l o w e r s, buyflowershere.”

“Also avoid gimmicky ways of drawing attention such as all caps, symbols, HTML tags, and promotional text.”

“Don’t use capital letters for emphasis. Capitalized text is common in spam and untrustworthy ads. You should still use capitalization when it’s appropriate, including for abbreviations, phone numbers, countries, and currency.”
