I've been leaving voicemails with the CEO.

As you may be able to tell from my recent posts here, I’ve been having a lot of issues with Bonanza lately, all starting shortly after I was forced to either buy a membership or start paying monthly listing fees. Cost goes up, quality goes down. That doesn’t seem right.

So I searched for contact information for the CEO of Bonanza, and I actually found it. Got an email address and a phone number, and both actually work. I won’t be posting any of it here because doxing is both illegal and morally wrong, but if anyone else has a persistent issue with Bonanza that the regular support staff (Keith!) has been less than helpful in resolving, please reply to this thread and I’ll mention your problem the next time I call and leave a voicemail.

Happy 4th of July.

I’ve done a bit of research into the site’s owner. He is the CEO of a company called Hanson Enterprises. Their website has not been updated since 2023 either. That and Bonanza’s LLC are registered at a home address. He made a good amount of money from selling a tech startup in 2008, and since has just worked as a small sized business venture capitalist. My gut tells me he is not managing anything at any of these companies, including Bonanza. Typically a venture capitalist is hands off. They buy a company with lender financing, then once the acquisition is completed they take the debt and place on the books of the business they bought. They cut as many costs and raise as much revenue as possible to pay back the debt. At the peak, there were about 30 employees at Bonanza. Now I can find only 3 names on the site that are employees now. My guess is any tech issues are handled by someone off fiverr or another freelance app.
Beyond the occasional blog post, he has no insight into the operations of the site. His goal is 100% revenue growth and cost reduction. That’s why there are now so many catalog sellers on the site with tens of thousands of items for sale. That’s also why traffic is so far down, because those items are available anywhere.
Just my 2¢ on why there is no response.
