Imported images

I noticed that all imported images are lower quality.
After I learned that CSV is a document, I understand why the images are low quality.
Is there anything can be done, but replacing them ?
Thanks

Hi @posterz,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the trouble with your images. It sounds like you may need to update the images for your listings. If the listings were imported via a CSV, then you can update the listings via CSV, as well. To update listings via CSV, you will need to add a “force_update” column set to “True” on your document. Please note that the original ID must be included in the document along with your “force_update” column and the changes you are making to the listing.

When uploading images, the format must be “http” not “https.” You will also want to remove any text after the image type (.jpg, .png, etc). We find that Photobucket typically has a good image format for our CSV upload which provides high-quality images on your listings.

Thanks so much Katy!
I already edited most of my listings. They are ok.
The only problem are images. They look degraded. They look very bad when magnifying them.

How exactly do I update the images ?
Is Force Update in CSV file ? How it is done please ?
And what is original ID ?
and what do you mean by “other changes” ?
Sorry for so many questions…
THANKS!

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
