Why are knives and swords not allowed

anyone know why they say they are not allowed, yet they have a category for knives, swords and blades. how stupid is that to have a category for something they supposedly dont allow. and i got some of mine removed that is why i am asking as i import from ebay and they come in that way. i though ebay was crazy but this is just the stupidest thing i have seen, and at least on ebay i have sales, i sell more on ebay in one week than ive sold on here in the 9 months ive been on here. if theres sales at least the stupid things are easier to deal with. but this is the dumbest thing i have seen to claim something is not allowed but yet have a whole category devoted to items you supposedly dont allow.

I dont know the answer – I have sgian dubhs (small Scottish knife) listed a while ago – but took them down myself. I am leaving Bonanza so will just list them on my own sites.

i dont think ive even sold a knife on here, but its stupid to say you dont allow something then have a category for them, thought they were different from ebay but they seem same or worse now and very little sales here compared to ebay

The categories are probably there for those who import and haven’t read all the restrictions and rules, so that it sorts them out so they can remove them. Just a thought.

It does seem odd to have the category and not be able to list them. I’d email and bring it to Bonanza’s attention as it may be an oversight that they did not remove the category.

no its not, there are thousands of them on here and unless someone reports them they do nothing, this is from them as they say they dont have the time even though a simple search brings most of them up, directly from them as i already asked, same responses ebay gives, tell you what you want to hear

An additional question is that if a knife is sold on here and the buyer has a complaint can the buyer find remedy if the item should not have been sold on here?

I just recently put a pocket knife up for sale for the first time and an hour later was removed without any explanation so I contacted Bonanza and now 4 days have past and no reply, but I still see lots of pocket knives on this site

Right I agree, their customer service is absolutely horrible on top of it all.
