This is an exquisite purse or evening bag decorated using a Julien Faure Ribbon. The company has created ribbons since 1864 and they are made in St. Etienne, France. The ribbons are woven on jacquard ribbon looms. This bag is a dark green with a gold metallic woven striped design.
It measures approximately 8 inches wide and 7 ½ inches tall when stretched open.
This evening bag is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is a small stain on the inside of the purse (see picture with arrow) where I turned it inside out. It appears to be makeup and may clean up but I didn’t want to try and possibly damage the purse. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be perfect for anyone who loves to dress up. It would look great for any special occasion.
