This is an adorable little golden horse charm that has the original Bell Trading Post placard tag on it.  I believe this is from the 1960s. One side of the tag has “Sterling by Bell” with the Logo of an arrow sign post with a bell sign hanging from it, and the other side “New Mexico”.  The Trading Post was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1932. They sold Southwestern jewelry at tourist spots around the U.S. There is also a stamp on the ring but I can’t make it out. The horse is approximately 1” inch long, ¾” inch tall and weighs about 3.5 grams. The gold color is most likely from gold plating on top of the sterling silver.

This charm pendant is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is some slight wear on the placard tag, normal for age and use and you don’t see it without the magnification. The horse has a lovely shine to the gold, although it has faded in spots from use, but again you don't see this without the photo enlargements. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be perfect for anyone who loves horses and vintage Southwestern style jewelry. It reminds me of the old west, rodeos, ranches, and of course cowboys and cowgirls. A fun addition to any charm bracelet.
