About the Manufacturer

Based in Carlsbad California as part of the Callaway Golf Company, the Odyssey brand of putters first entered the scene in 1990 and has been bringing new product innovations ever since. Beginning in 1991 with their “mallet” putters, featuring resilient material inserts called “stronomic” In the following years Odyssey’s Tour popularity increased dramatically to become the “#1 Putter in Golf” 1995 saw 300 top 10 finishes on the PGA TOUR for Odyssey. Among their most recognized design innovations to date are the 2 Ball White Hot putter and the DFX.

Now, for the first time, every golfer can have a putter that features all those design elements. The unique weight ports in the sole allow our engineers to precisely control the putterhead’s weight so it can be optimized with the specific shaft length for impeccable consistency, control and performance. Each putter uses the new White Hot Tour insert that features a firmer feel for the feedback and responsiveness accomplished players seek.

Head Weight Optimization
Weight ports in the sole allow for optimal weighting in combination with the shaft lengths in each putter to maximize consistency and distance control, enhance feel and provide better roll characteristics. The headweights for 33” and 34” putters are 355 grams; the 35” putters are 340 grams.

White Hot® Tour Insert
The insert is constructed of an elastomer core that’s highly resilient for enhanced feel and truer roll and a thin, firm outer striking surface infused with urethane for fine-tuned responsiveness. The insert also allows weight to be shifted to the perimeter of the head for a higher MOI and better stability.

Review: "I'm one of those players that tends to rotate my putters with the ebb and flow of my success. I bought this putter in January and it was slow to get into the rotation. It felt great at the store but it was a bit heavier than my other putters and I was having a hard time dialing in the distance. That has since changed. Now, it won't let any of my other putters back into the rotation so it stays in my bag.

I am a traditionalist in terms of putters. I can't stand the "gimmicky" oversized, MOI monsters. Actually, two of putters in my rotation are Bullseye-type blade putters so this may put into perspective where I'm coming from.

This White Hot Center shafted putter is a great compromise between the pure-blade putters and those with some forgiveness. This does require you to get pretty close to the sweet spot of the putter but you can miss it by a little and still get a great roll. The alignment is simple (single line)and the feel is great with a variety of ball types. The roll comes out pure and holds its' line great. I also tried the CS White steel but the ball seemed to "shoot" off the face with little control.
