'D of A' Shield Daughters of America Collectible Spoon Embassy Silverplate 1939 RARE

This Bouquet Embassy 1939 teaspoon is affixed with a Daughters of America (D of A) shield featuring an eagle and the American flag colors.

Daughters of America is a fraternal order founded in Allegheny County, PA, in 1891. The eagle and the stars above the shield represent patriotism; the open Bible in the shield symbolizes religion. Below the Bible are clasping hands, representing the unity of membership.

Measures 6.1". Marked: EMBASSY SILVER PLATE. Embassy Silver Plate was a division of International Silver.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with some tarnish. See pictures.
