Daughters of America is a fraternal order founded in Allegheny County, PA, in 1891. The eagle and the stars above the shield represent patriotism; the open Bible in the shield symbolizes religion. Below the Bible are clasping hands, representing the unity of membership. Measures 6.1". Marked: EMBASSY SILVER PLATE. Embassy Silver Plate was a division of International Silver.
