βœ… About My Shop: winebeerglasses

Welcome to winebeerglasses, my shop β€” the same name as my former Etsy store (see reviews in last image).

⭐ I proudly maintained a perfect 5-star customer rating on Etsy for five years.

I left due to poor customer support and migrated to Bonanza.

πŸ”§ What You Get with My Watches

All my watches are:

Unlike many β€œflipped” watches of unknown condition, mine are professionally restored and ready to wear. Many of those cheap listings will cost you hundreds in post-sale servicing. Not here.

🚫 No Chinese-made parts used β€” even the spring bars are Swiss Made.

πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Watch Background: Longines Innovation

In the 1970s, Longines was a pioneer of Swiss watchmaking β€” much like Audi was to German cars during the same era. The company introduced the groundbreaking 431 high-beat movement at 36,000 beats per hour (10 beats/sec), combining cutting-edge precision with durability.

Later, Longines released a lower beat-rate version of the Ultra-Chron line β€” the 6651/6652 movements, beating at 28,800 bph (8 beats/sec). Aside from the balance and gear train differences, the architecture remained virtually the same.

Interestingly, these reduced-rate Ultra-Chrons are rarer than their high-beat counterparts.

🧭 Watch Details

This is essentially a new vintage Longines, built with all-original parts except for the crown and crystal.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ”§ Built by a Watch Hobbyist, Not a Flipper

I build and restore vintage automatic watches as a personal hobby, combining my background in precision engineering and aesthetic design. I take pride in restoring these pieces to full working and visual condition.

🌟 Why Vintage?

If you're tired of cookie-cutter, oversized quartz or electronic watches, this is your chance to wear something unique, engineered, and historically significant.

The 1960s–70s were the golden age of mechanical design. After that, the soul of watchmaking gave way to electronics. Bring back the craft β€” one wrist at a time.
