My shop name is winebeerglasses, same as my former Etsy shop (see the last image).  I have a perfect 5-star customer rating from my buyers at Etsy for five years.  I left Etsy because Etsy's customer support is unbearable.  I decided to migrate to Bonanza.

I build and restore vintage automatic watches as a hobby using my knowledge in precision engineering and aesthetics.  All my watches are freshly lubricated, timegrapher regulated, and cleaned to restore the pleasure of wearing a vintage watch with its full functionalities and timing performance.

I do not use Chinese-made parts, even the spring bars are Swiss Made.

There was a time when Longines was one of the most innovative watch makers in the Swiss, sort of similar to Audi for German cars in the late 70s and early 80s. Longines broke ground to develop this famous 431 movement, beating at 36000 beats per hour or 10 beats per second. This was revolutionary and Longines optimized the design to keep it robust and efficient. I was fascinated by this movement and started to study it and accumulate it. Later, Longines offered a reduced rate version of the ultra chron line and the in house movement is 6651 or 6652, beating at 28800 beats per hour or 8 beats per second. All designs are the same except that the balance is at a lower rate and the gears are accordingly designed to keep the timing correct.

These reduced rate ultra chron watches are actually more rare.  The movement image is a 431 movement.  A 6652 movement looks exactly the same except it would be marked 6652 and 28800 bph.

I built this watch with a nice Longines 6652 movement and its original dial with a new old stock Longines 431 case and a new Longines original stainless steel bracelet. The only non-Longines parts are the crown and the new crystal from G-S, German made. The crystal has a golden ring to secure the crystal in place. The dial has some blemish but expected for vintage watches. It has a quite rare brown color. The original Longines cases is big solid stainless steel, unit body block. Essentially this is a new watch with a vintage and rare Longines movement, fully serviced.

The case is 40 mm across, not including the crown, and 40 mm lug to lug. The thickness is 13 mm. The bracelet can fit up to a 8" wrist.

The high beat rate allows the watch to keep very precise time. This watch is fully serviced and is of the collector quality.

As in any vintage watches, keep it from water because I did not test it for its water proof capability.

It is 33 mm across and 37 mm lug to lug, medium size for a classical look, not those outlandish large but cheaply made watches flooding the store.

The sale is final. But I will offer free maintenance for three months. The buyer only pays one way shipping to me if service is needed. I will repair it and ship it back for free.

It is time to wear something different against the onslaught of electronics. In terms of the art of mechanical design, 60s and 70s were the peak. After that, it is all half electronics or full electronics.
