These are 2 (two)    rimmed soup/pasta/salad/dessert bowl by Johnson Brothers in the Rosedawn pattern. This pattern coordinates with other Johnson Brothers patterns including Rose Cloud.  Rosedawn rimmed soup bowls have a lightly scalloped edge. The rimmed edge is between approximately 1 1/4" to  1 3/8" wide. The measurement of the bowl part is approximately 5" wide and 1" deep.  The bowl holds approximately  1 cup or 8 ounces when filled to the top of the bowl portion. It could hold more pasta or salad when heaped.  This pattern was active between approximately 1925 and approximately 1975. This bowl is  some type of ceramic.  The mark on the reverse side is the crown and Johnson Bros England along with the pattern-- Rosedawn. There are no chips, cracks, stains or crazing that I could observe.  There are some minor utensil or use marks. There are occasional manufacturing marks and variations such as a little more glaze here and there or a bump or  under the glaze.  I believe Johnson Brothers hand made their wares accounting for these variations.  I bought these plates as part of a set in the 1980s from a Denver antique store intending to use it as a "luncheon" set. I never used it and it has been packed away. I have other items in the same pattern listed.  Non-smoking household.
