This is a fabulous pair of large vintage Vendome dangle clip on earrings. They are signed ©Vendome, which was Coro's upscale jewelry line. Vendome was a subsidiary of Coro; but it was their high-quality better line that succeeded Corocraft. It was found in stores like Neiman Marcus, Lord  & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue. Vendome was in business from 1944 to 1979.Vendome is highly collectible and always nice quality. This rare design is most likely from the 1960s to 1970s. The earrings measure approximately 2 ¾ of an inch tall and 1 ¼ of an inch wide.

These rich gold tone earrings are detailed and ornate and I believe they are from the Egyptian Revival period. Each earring features two bearded men carrying some type of staff with a pointed arrow top. They are wearing long full length robes and could be priests, kings or religious figures. My guess would be Egyptian, Greek or Roman. These are rare, hard to find and very unusual. I have seen this design as a pendant, a bracelet and earrings. This would be a real find if you are trying to complete a set.

These earrings are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. They are lever back clip style, with a screw tension back, which allows them to be adjusted to fit your ear lobe. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the detail better than I can describe.

These would be perfect with that little black dress or with your favorite pair of jeans. They will brighten up any outfit you choose to wear.
