Item description for Vintage Turquoise Sterling Silver Cluster Ring 4 ½ Snake Southwestern

This is a hand crafted very old sterling silver ring with 1 large oval center turquoise stone with beautiful matrix or inclusions and 8 small round turquoise stones in a circle around the center stone. All of the stones are held securely inside plain handmade bezels. It is engraved “STERLING” on the interior of the band. The band size is quite small, only a 4 ½ (please see photos on the ring mandrel for size). It is shown in the picture on a pinky finger. The face of the ring measures approximately 1 ¼ inches tall and 1 inch wide. The band has a snake with black rings that circle around the band. The ring weighs .40 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 11.34 grams.

I have had this ring for as long as I can remember. I know I had it back in the 1970s, but I’m not sure when it was originally made, my guess would be 1940s. I believe it to be Native American, but I can't state that for sure as it is unsigned. Unless you are sure this small size ring will fit your finger, please do not purchase the ring. It is a final sale.

The ring is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. I have not polished it and there is a lovely dark patina to it. It does show some age related wear and there are bends to the plain silver bezels, but it is a handmade ring and it shows. I will leave any cleaning up to you if you so desire, but personally I wouldn’t change a thing, I think it is beautiful. This would be such a lovely ring to wear; the design is exquisite with terrific details and quite artistic. It would be a perfect addition to your collection of treasured vintage jewelry. It might be possible to have the ring made larger if you so desired, but as it is now, it will only fit a small sized finger.
