Item description
50 Seeds Amaranthus Tri-Color Flaming Fountain Flower Annual
Easy to grow from seed. This annual tri-color is one of the most colorful amaranthus. A stunning variety grown for it's bright, glowing, foliage in whorls of molten gold and blazing red with bronze leaves. Tall purple flower stems come at end of summer. In color from early stages onward. Easy growing, economical and showy in containers or landscape. Quickly growing to 48 inches tall in the garden or 8-10 inches in containers. Excellent plants for long-lasting fillers for bed or towards the back of the garden. The leaves are edible and also make great cut flowers to brighten indoor flower arrangements. They produce a dark red seed head composed of tiny flowers on the showy foliage. Most people buy this as a foliage plant rather than a flower plant. May self seed in some zones. Can be started indoors in peat pots this winter or sown directly into the ground or containers in spring or summer. They bloom summer thru first frost.
