This is for a beautiful copper or bronze horse sculpture with an unusual crinkle-braided fan tail. There is a very light scratch across two of the bases where they meet. See photos. It is very hard to see. I believe that the wood grained section was added. It also does not appear to be real wood. It may have been added for contrast.
Everything about this is fantastic. It appears to have been cared for properly/waxed periodically to prevent green tarnish from taking over. The rich brown mottled coloring indicates that it has aged gracefully. I've never seen another one quite like it.
The entire piece measures 14" long x 13" tall.
