Xolaam Oral Suspension is an antacid medicine reserved for adults and adolescents over 15 years. It is recommended for pain, heartburn and burns of the stomach or esophagus. Its active substances are the following (for 100 ml of drinkable suspension): Aluminium (hydroxide gel) Quantity corresponding to aluminium (hydroxide) 3.5 g Magnesium (hydroxide gel) Amount corresponding to magnesium (hydroxide) 4.0 g Other components: concentrated hydrochloric acid, citric acid monohydrate, peppermint essential oil, mannitol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, 70% sorbitol, sodium saccharin, purified water. Notable excipient: sorbitol. Dosage: The dosage generally indicated is 1 tablespoon at the time of stomach pain, without exceeding 6 tablespoons per day. The duration of the treatment is limited to 10 days.
