Unknown what type of setting this pair is, but a very appealing gemstone, and its golden color picking up the quality of light like no other gem. Also the diamond is the only other gem of vegetable origin like this amber. The lightest of all gems, amber dates back to pre-historic times, as early as the Tertiary Period, about sixty million years ago.
Historically, amber has been valued both for beauty and traditionally for protection against throat ailments. To keep this cleaned use a soft flannel cloth dampened with lukewarm water to polish.
