Item description
Rain Harris is world famous for her magical creations. Her work is in over a dozen museums in the U.S. and abroad. I met Rain and her mom back in the 1980s when she was a teenager. I'm pretty sure this is the first piece of her work that I ever acquired. She gave me and my wife several gifts over the years but if I remember correctly, I got this one from her mother, Susan.
Susan was immensely talented in her own right and lived an interesting life. She told me her ex-husband was worshipped as some sort of cult god out in California. Not only that, she worked with Ian Fleming's real-life friend, James Bond. Bond was an ichthyologist, and she said he discovered a new species of fish and named it after her.
I have treasured the fantastic works I got from Rain over the years but now I am downsizing and have to let most things go.
