Marx Mounted Cowboy 60mm Chubby Figure and similar items

From the late 1940s to 1976 Marx Toys produced a series of playsets, all in various themes. They often looked to the past for inspiration and many playsets recreate well-known historical events, including the great wars. This listing is for a cream-colored Mounted Cowboy figure that was released in the early-1950s. He was part of the Western Ranch Set, which included figures in the 60mm scale. These guys are affectionately referred to as "chubbies," due to their stocky statures. They are molded in a soft plastic. This figure is in good vintage condition with some play wear. At one point the hat was painted red, some paint remains.
