This is for a new old stock genuine Mercedes fender flag pole in chrome with the Mercedes star on top. Their fender flag holders have long been discontinued. These are for what is called "parade dress." They were meant for Mercedes that service an embassy or a consulate. These are great for special occasions, car shows and for scoring points with friends and in-laws when you pick them up flying the flag of their motherland. Every installation of these flag poles on any model Mercedes requires modifying your fender with Mercedes' own mounting system. The mounts are impossible to find now plus no one really wants to drill holes in their fender. The modern way to mount these flag holders without permanently modifying your fender is to mount it to a metal L bracket and then mount the bracket to a fender mounting bolt. This takes some fabrication but it can be done and it has been done. The bracket sticks up between the fender and the hood. There are no returns on this item so check with a fabricator/custom body shop to be sure that YOUR particular fender can host such a setup.
